My biggest fear in the whole wide world is the dark. And here we were walking right into the darkest place of all: the dark woods
Come ON, olive!
-said beatrixWe headed into the woods. Darkness was everywhere! Beatrix and eddie tried to tell me that I had nothing to be afraid of.
(then eddie start to sing again)
🎶🎶🎶
Don't be afraid of the dark, my friend! All your fears are nothing but pretend! The dark is shy and it hides from view... The dark is, in fact, afraid of you!
🎶🎶Beatrix used her magic wand to light tha way.
Look, olly. There's nothing in the dark that isn't there in the light.
-said beatrixAs we walked, i began to feel better. The dark woods weren't as scary as I had imagined. And i even started to feel a bit brave!
Fearless explorer olive the mighty coming through!
-said olive (obviously)Halt!
(everyone stop)
I hear the thunder of a thousand teeny-tiny running legs!
-said beatrix's petJust then, a stampede of insects came running through the trees!
Yikes!
BUGS!!
-shouted by beatrixLooks like lunch is making a run for it!
-said eddieFast food, anyone?
-said beatrix's petThe giant spiders must be close! Be ready, team!
-said oliveSure enough, we soon found the giant spiders. They were all together-on one giant, sparkling web.
It's beautiful!
-said eddieIt's horrible.
-said beatrixIt's sticky.
-said beatrix's petThat's what i call a spiderweb!
-said oliveNow that the spiders were finally all in one place, we needed to shrink them down to their original size. But then, one of the spiders spotted us.
Suddenly, thousands of giant-spider eyes looked out at us from the dark.
GULP! Maybe giant spiders don't eat bugs after all!
-said oliveWe needed to move fast!
Shrinking potion!
-CHECK!
rainmaker!
-CHECK!
Pour!
-CHECK!
SPRAY!
-said olive and beatrixThe potion worked!
-said oliveEddie, quick! Give me your-----um... Hat!
-said oliveDon't worry, little guys, we'll take you back to your garden.
-said oliveI guess spiders really aren't so bad when they're small.
-said beatrixBeatrix, eddie, and I returned the itty-bitty spiders to the garden.
Welcome home, little guys!
-said oliveThen we stood up. And we looked around juniper Hallows.
