Drakions way

It's been 2 weeks since Drakion broke the mirror in his room. The two added weeks being for a psychic evaluation due to the injuries he sustained. It was late at night when Drakion left the infirmary with Fillia. Fillia put her right wing across Drakions' back to help ward off the chill that was in the air. It is raining out.

"Get your wing off me." Drakion said with barely any hint of emotion

"It's cold out, and you can't warm yourself that well anymore." Fillia responded with a look of concern on her face

"I wouldn't mind freezing. Really wouldn't." Drakion said as he moved away from Fillia and started walking in the opposite direction of the palace

"Where are you going? The palace is in the opposite direction." Fillia asked

"The Tavern." Drakion answered as he continued walking

"It's late, you need to get some sleep." Fillia said concerned

"THAT'S ALL I'VE BEEN DOING. SLEEP, EAT, THERAPY, THEN SLEEP AGAIN. THAT'S IT." Drakion shouted after he stopped and turned around

"Drakion just please come back? Everyone is concerned about you. Tanora and Fen want to talk to you." Fillia pleaded

"How long has Tanora been back for?" Drakion asked

"She's been back a week. The therapy she's been having to go through is worse than the therapy you have." Fillia answered

"How is hers worse?" Drakion asked walking up to Fillia and letting her put her wing back over his back

"The kidnappers brainwashed her. Made her think she was someone else entirely somehow. The therapy is to undo that" Fillia answered

"That is much worse. I imagine Kaitlyn is hunting down the one that kidnapped her relentlessly." Drakion said

"They already have him in custody." Fillia said

"Let me guess. Is his name Clarkson?" Drakion asked

"How did you know?" Fillia asked

"One day before all this, shit, happened. I took Tanora, Omdin, and Fen to the park. He approached me. He knew i was watching Tanora, Omdin, and Fen while Kaitlyn and Dagon were away." Drakion answered

"Why did you not tell us?" Fillia asked

"I've been in the infirmary for weeks now. You guys never asked if i knew anything. So don't treat me like the monster, it's pointless. I already feel like the monster." Drakion answered

"Drakion, i'm so sorry. I didn't mean to offend or hurt you in any way." Fillia said

"If Kaitlyn is going to treat me like a monster, i don't want to go see her." Drakion said

"Will you at least go to see Tanora and Fen? They're worried about you." Fillia asked

"I will tomorrow. But, i really need a drink after everything that's happened." Drakion answered

"Just don't drink yourself to death like dad did. Please don't leave me alone in this world? You're the only family i have left." Fillia asked

"Don't worry, i won't drink like dad did. He let himself go after mom died on the battlefield." Drakion answered

"Ya, but mom wasn't a soldier. She was a field medic, she got drafted into the war. She didn't sign up herself." Fillia responded

"And dad was a coward who didn't want to fight for his kingdom." Drakion said

"He was in the military. He deserted his post in a dive bomb assault to make sure we would at least have one parent left." Fillia said

"He's still a deserter. I'm done arguing with you. If you need me, i'll be at the tavern." Drakion said as he started to turn around
