Marvel CU stands for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some of Marvel's best movies are: The Captain America movies (The First Avenger, Winter Soldier, and Civil War), the three Iron Man movies, The Avengers and The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor, Thor: The Dark World, and the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, Doctor Strange, and Guardians of the Galaxy (MY FAVORITE). From my experience, the Marvel CU characters most written about in fan fiction are: Steve Rogers (Captain America), Bucky Barnes (the Winter Soldier), Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver in Age of Ultron), Tony Stark (Iron Man), and Loki Laufeyson (Thor's 'adopted' brother).
