The boy sobbed as the knife in his back pushed him forward. He looked over his shoulder at his red-faced father, huffing profanities after them. They crested the first, tallest hill and made their rocky, stumbling way down it. As soon as she was out of her lord's view, our dear knight collapsed crying and laughing to the ground, sheathing her knife on the way down. The boy backed away and considered running back to the castle, wondering if she was fast enough to pull out her knife and throw it into the back of his bobbing head.

He shivered and dropped to his knees beside her, "Ser, you're absolutely mad." She looked up and wiped tears from her face, "I've never done anything like that, that was so awkward, kid. Did you see his face, oh God, oh Lord that was horrid. Why did I do that? Why?" she cackled hysterically and made disgusted faces and noises amidst waves of laughter, "Uuggh I feel so dirty now, blech blech how could I do that to him, how could he do that to ME?"

The boy couldn't help but giggle uncomfortably, "You know what's even more messed up? You asked to be allowed to leave unharmed, but that was literally one of his original offers. You kidnapped me and made yourself an outlaw for no reason." He laughed and looked in her eyes. She choked on a laugh and screamed with renewed mirth. The boy laughed a little too, "Yeah! He said 'enter as a peasant, dead, or not at all' or something like that, so he totally said you could just leave, this was all so unnecessary!" "FUCK, IM GONNA PISS MYSELF," she rolled and beat the ground. "So you could easily just send me on my way home and he'd forgive you and you could live your life far away in peace!" he wiped the tear stains away and grinned widely. "I'M NEVER LETTING YOU LEAVE HA HAAA!" her laughter could be heard from the castle by now.

The boy's mouth fell open in the largest frown of the day.
