"He canceled movie night, Jordan! He never cancels movie night," Ava said suspiciously. She was laying next to me on her bed, our legs dangling off the side.
"What did he say again?" I asked, blowing a bubble with my minty gum.
"Said Mel wanted him home," she grumbled. "I think he's lying."
"Check his location of Find My Friends," I suggested.
She whipped her phone out of her bra and did as I suggested. "Oh my god, I was right! That douche bag is lying!"
My jaw dropped. "Where is he?"
"It says '2095 Maple Wood Lane'," she told me, closing her phone and jumping up. "Come on."
"Wait, what?" I sputtered as she pulled me up, and handed me my jacket. "Right now? It's eight o'clock!"
"And my boyfriend is lying to me. Please, Jordan!"
I sighed. I couldn't argue with that. "Fine."
Ava ran downstairs, past her father. "We're going out!" She called as she ran out the door. I was quick behind her.
"Don't get pregnant!" He called back, sipping at his beer. I laughed. He always says something like that.
I got in the car. I barely had my door closed before Ava sped off. "Jesus!" I cried, quickly buckling. "We're not going to make it there of you keep driving like this!"
"Sorry," she muttered. "I'm just upset."
"It's cool. Let me call Kyle, maybe he can tell us what Oliver's doing." I dialed his number, and held the phone to my ear.
He didn't answer.
Well shit. "Did he answer?" Ava asked, turning a corner.
"No," I grumbled. "How close are we?"
"We're actually......here!" Ava said, swerving into a parking space. The parking lot was filled with mostly motorcycles. "Shit's about to go down!"
We got out of the car, and walked forward. I pulled my jacket tighter around me, as I looked around. "Ava, maybe this isn't such a good idea."
"I have to catch him!" She insisted. I looked towards the building. It looked old, with boarded up windows and graffiti everywhere.
We made it to what I assume was once the entrance, and opened the door. "Hello?" Ava called out.
The room was dimly lit, and had minimal furniture. A girl, not much older than us, walked over.
"What?" She asked rudely. She was dressed in black, with dark hair and eyes. She had piercings along her ears, and one in her eyebrow and lip. I immediately thought of Kyle's lip ring, and how good it looked on him.
"Yeah, my boyfriend is here I'd like to see him please!" Ava said sweetly.
The girl seemed to think for a moment. "No," she decided, then tried to shut the door. I shoved my foot between it and the wall, successfully stopping it. But my god, did it hurt like a bitch.
I winced, then put on my most intimidating face. "Excuse me, but I believe she said she'd like to see her boyfriend." I asked, crossing my arms.
She started at me for a moment before grinning. "I like you. I'm Tori."
I grinned back. "I'm Jordan, and this is Ava."
"Come on in, let me see what I can do," she said, opening the door wider. We walked behind her, and followed her down some stairs to a door.
