Kara's POV
I sat on my bed, typing on my computer looking up some new rib protectors for my lacrosse gear. I needed some new gear, since mine was getting old and worn out. Today, Asher and Landon's Uncle Nick, is coming over to take the boys out to a baseball game. I don't feel so bad for not going, Nick gives me the creeps.
"Kara! Nick is here! Headed out!" Colton shouts up the stairs.
"Bye! Have fun!" I shout back.
I hear the boys laughing outside the house and then them climbing into the car. It's really nice to have the house to myself. To have a relaxing moment. I pick out some rib protectors and some new shoulder pads to pick out tomorrow. I write the place down and then I turn off my computer to go get some food from the kitchen.
I grab some popcorn, a few sodas, and some candy, and a sandwich; bringing all that upstairs to my room. Setting the food down on the bed, I then go put in a movie. I put in Dear John, and then sit down on my bed watching and snacking on food.
After Dear John, I head downstairs to get another sandwich and a soda. Once back upstairs in my room, I put in Tangled. Every song that came up, I sang my heart out to the words. Next, I put in Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman. During that movie, I sang all the words to the songs playing in that movie as well. After, three movies, I decided to take a nap.
I wake up to see the light coming in from my window to be dark. I look over towards my clock and see that it reads 5:45 p.m.. Getting off my bed, I head downstairs. As I make way down, I see five boys sitting on the couch having a great time watching a football game. Guess Nick decided to stay for a while.
"Hey Kara!" Asher says. Then the rest of the boys followed in saying HI.
"Hey guys, how was the game?" I ask them, while continuing on walking into the kitchen.
"It was great! Our team won the game!" Landon shouts.
"That's great!" I tell them.
I go to the cabinet and grab a package of Top Ramen. I start a pot with water on the stove top to boil. Then I sit down on the kitchen stool and look at my phone, playing a game. My head perks up when I hear someone walking into the kitchen. I look up to see Uncle Nick coming towards me.
"Hi Kara, how have you been?" he asks.
"Good. You?" I say going back to my phone.
"I'm good thank you. Making food?" He asks resting his hands on my shoulders and slowly massaging them.
I shake my shoulders and move to the stove, "Yeah I am."
"What are you making?" Nick asks.
"Ramen." I state.
"Typical student meal." Nick chuckles.
"Yup."
"Well, I'll just get some milk then to drink." Nick says moving to the fridge.
I keep my distance from him, till he walks out of the kitchen and back to the living room with the boys. The water in the pot starts to boil, so then I put in the Ramen. When the time meets four minutes, I dump some water out of the pot and put the noodles in the bowl with the seasoning. Stirring it around, I grab my bowl and head upstairs to my room to eat and watch tv.
I set the food down on my desk when I'm done eating it. My bedroom light is off, the only light on is from my tv. My blankets are toasty warm, as I lay under my covers.
KNOCK.KNOCK.
I hear someone lightly knock on my door.
"Who is it?" I shout.
