Guy's POV

We were all working on Nick's house we had started early this morning when the sun came up you couldn't tell it was a house yet but we had made good progress in the last few hours. Nick had shown us the plans for the house it looked nice and it was more than big enough for the three of them we take a break then sit down and Aaron starts asking him about what kind of bachelor party he wants Nick didn't answer he just kind of shrugged. We finish our break and get back to work even though he knew it wouldn't be finished today Nick was working harder than any of us because he wanted the house to be perfect.

Aaron's POV

It was time for me to talk to Howie about Kayla I walk in the barn and find Howie checking on the horses I walk over to him and he looks at me. "Hey Aaron what's up?" I take a deep breath then begin "I really like Kayla and I know you and her are only friends plus you have James so I wanted to do the right thing and talk to you. I would never try to be his dad because you are but I think that he is a really great kid, I really think that Kayla is the one for me even though we are still getting to know each other." Howie looks at me then puts his hand on my shoulder. "Aaron you and I are really great friends I think you are a good guy and a hard worker I've seen you with Aurora so I know that you will be good with James I wish you and Kayla the best of luck you have my blessing." "Thanks Howie." I could finally be with Kayla and not have to worry anymore.

Howie's POV

I was doing repair work in the kitchen when Mallory comes in with Aurora she puts her in her high chair then gives her some tiny pieces of bananas. Aurora looks at me "Owie." I smile "Hello there Princess." Mallory walks over to me "Can we talk please?" I nod then sit down in the chair next to Aurora's "Sure what's on your mind?" She looks at me "I'm really sorry for not doing this sooner but I'm sorry for going psycho and hitting you I took it too far that day." I stop before she can keep going. "It's fine I understand why you did it and to be honest I deserved it." She smiles "Thank you Howie." "You're welcome." She hugs me and I hug back then look at Aurora who's holding out a piece of banana for me I take it and eat it "Thank you." Mallory looks at me "Would you like me to fix you a banana too?" I shake my head and we both laugh.

Aaron's POV

I'm standing outside hosing off the truck when Mallory comes walking up to me I look at her and smile when she reaches me "Hey Mal if you're looking for Nick he's working on the house." "I was actually looking for you Aaron." I put the water hose down then look at her "Sure Mal is everything okay?" She sits down and I sit next to her. "I'm sorry for the way I treated Howie that day I lost my temper and went too far and I'm sorry for hitting you in the stomach I know you were just trying to stop me." She didn't have to apologize I probably would have done the same thing I didn't know she could fight like that though and Nick didn't either her temper was one of the reasons he probably liked her. "I forgive you Mal just take it easy next time." She smiles "Thanks Aaron." "You're welcome." She starts walking away and I spray her with the water hose.

Nick's POV

That night after I take a shower I sit on the bed and run my hands down my face we had been working on the house for a week now I was tired and my muscles ached. Mallory crawls in the bed and wraps her arms around my neck and lays her head against my back she was one reason I was building our house she made me happy I loved her plus she had given me a beautiful baby and maybe another baby in the future I couldn't wait for it to come. I'm glad that the house was coming together it was far from being finished but it was a solid work in progress another few months maybe less than that if the warm and sunny days continued the house would be finished then we could move in. I feel Mallory start rubbing my shoulders I close my eyes and lean back against her then I feel her lips start going down my back she made long days a little easier.
