The darkness is thick and heavy. It terrifies you even though this is how life has always been. You were born in darkness, you grew up confused, and you are still walking through inky black. The slightest movement in the dark makes you jump, the smallest sound shakes your resolve.

Suddenly, a little glow catches your eye. You quickly shift your entire focus to that light. It grows and grows to illuminate everything around you. The whole sky lights up with the brightest colors you have ever seen.

You can now see everything around you. You notice a newborn baby, swaddled and laid in a manger, an animal's feeding box. His young mother is kneeling next to her baby's craddle, his father stands over him and the two of are in awe.

You turn to see a hillside carved into a tomb. You expect to see a body in there but it is empty. The stone that would cover the entrance is lying adjacent to it. It strangly fills you with hope.

You finally find the source of the light. It is a cross standing tall and proud on a hill. It is the most brilliant sight. You don't quite understand why it does but it fills your heart with unspeakable joy.

You hear someone behind you say, "Go and search for the others in darkness and bring them here." You are given a flashlight and you take off excitedly to search for others to come to the light.

In case you haven't noticed yet, this is describing the source of the Christian's joy. The joy from God's gift of his son who came to earth as true God and true man. The son of God who lived a perfect life we could never live, took all of the sins we committed on him, was punished for those sins, and rose from the dead after three days to show that death could not hold him. This was written to spread the joy I feel I from this great message. I want anyone who reads this to share the message with everyone you know. God's blessings.
