Chapter 55

Once we reach the council we all head our separate ways. Dan and Phil to London for the weekend and Mitch and I head back home. "Is there anything specific that you need to do?" I ask and Mitch smiles. "I need to talk to Kristin and that's about it." He says and I nod. "Why?" He asks and I smile. "I want to take the pack out. We don't spend enough time with them." I say and he nods.

"What are we going to do?" He asks and I smile. "Well I was going to plan a trip someplace, but I couldn't think of anywhere to go." I say and he hits my arm. "Hawaii's a place. Or the Caribbean, or a cruise." He says and I chuckle. "Okay. I'll look into it when we get home." I say and he giggles. The rest of the ride was spent listening to music and singing to our favourite songs.

We get to the house and we hop out. "I'm going to spend some time with Kristie." He says and I kiss his head. "Have fun baby." I say and he runs off to find her. I head to our room and start to research places we can go as a pack. I look into flights and things, but the cheapest thing seems to be a cruise. I pick a day and some excursions for us to do before calling Kevin in.

"Yes alpha?" He asks and I smile. "I'm taking the pack on a cruise. I think it would be the best time for you to pop the question. You two have been together for about a year now." I say and he smiles. "Okay. That's perfect actually because I've been trying to find a way to do it." He says and I smile. "Okay I'm going to gather everyone and tell them." I say and he nods before following me downstairs.

I walk into the living room to see Mitch sitting silently by himself. "Baby?" I call and he wipes his eyes quickly before coming to me. "Yes alpha?" He asks and I take his hand. "What's wrong love?" I ask and he shakes his head. "Nothing sir." He says and I frown. "I know you're lying." I say and he shakes his head. "I'm fine alpha." He says and I sigh. "Okay. Go get everyone and have them meet here." I say and he runs off.

Soon everyone comes out, Mitch being the last one. "So we don't do many things as a pack, so I decided a trip was in order. With that being said we are going on a cruise." I say and everyone cheers except Mitch. "Mitch what's wrong?" I ask and everyone looks at him except Kristin. "It's nothing alpha." He says and I shake my head. "Don't lie to me." I say and he goes to respond, but Kristin beats him to it.

"He's being a baby because we exchanged some words." She says and I raise an eyebrow. "What did you say to him?" I ask and she sighs. "I told him he can't run in and out my life. That I'm done trying to be his friend." She says and I sigh. "He came home to be with you Kristin. He said he wanted to spend time with you and Kacy because he hasn't in awhile." I explain and Mitch stands up.

"It's fine. I'm fine, she doesn't want me it's whatever. I'm not going to force myself into someone's life." He says and I sigh. "How long is the cruise?" He asks and I pause. "10 days." I say and he nods. "I'll be packing if you need me." He says before running upstairs. Jeremy shakes his head before standing up. "You are not going to have any friends if you keep acting like that. You're running Kacy away too. I honestly think you need to be by yourself for a while, so you're sleeping alone until I feel you deserve differently." He says and her jaw drops.

"But alpha!" She says but he stops her. "I don't want to hear it. You're lucky you aren't staying back from this trip." He says and she looks down. "I understand alpha." She says and Jeremy sighs. "Go pack your bag. And don't come back out. I'll bring you food." He says and she gives a 'yes alpha' before walking off. "So yeah. We leave in 4 days, so that should be enough time for everyone to get themselves together." I say and they all nod before walking off.

I head upstairs and to my room to see Todrick talking to Mitch. "Munchie it's okay. You were right, you can't force yourself into someone's life. She's done this so many times, don't you think it's time to stop hurting yourself? People change all the time, and you aren't wrong for loving her the way you do, especially after what you've been through. But she's toxic love and toxic people hurt more then they help." He explains and Mitch sniffles.

"You're right, but it's not that easy Tod. We are in the same pack so she's pretty much everywhere, so try as I might I'll never be able to fully push her out." He says and Todrick nods. "That might be true, but if you continue to surround yourself with the people who love you, and not respond to her foolishness then you should be able to push her out completely. Just ice her." He says and Mitch nods. "Thank you." He says leaning into Todrick, who gladly embraces him.

"Hey guys." I say and Mitch smiles at me. I kiss his head and Todrick smiles. "I'm going to help Kevin pack. I'll talk to you later Munchie." He says and Mitch smiles. "Okay." He says and Todrick exits. "I'm sorry baby." I say and he shakes his head. "It's fine alpha. I'm not mad." He says and someone knocks on the door. I open it to reveal Lauren. "I need to go to my house to get clothes for the trip." She says and I nod. "Just give me a moment." I say and she nods.
