Cliff hangers am I right? Well let me explain exactly what could be a problem.
Chaos sniffed at the air then vanished, taking his sword for with him. The only problem is, I was still holding the sword.
I got dragged through bristle, over stones, into branches, and finally down into a ravine.
I unwrapped my hand and studied the area. Since I'm alone, I might as well have. The skin now looked like I had a burn scar on it. Though the damage is minimal at best.
"Chaos, where are we?" I ask quietly, he flinched and spun around.
"Great, you're here. Well, buckle up. This will be one wild ride!" Chaos said, as he vanished again. I got dragged through mud and stone. Digging deep under the ground. Eventually a massive cave opened up, and I fell seven feet to then hit a small ledge. I was hanging on, chaos in hand.
"All the way down." He said sternly, as I dropped another twenty feet, which nearly broke my ankles. I stood uneasily, looking around.
"Now for your earlier question. Welcome to Chaos cavern. I know it's in a bit of a shabby condition, but-" Chaos told me, snapping his fingers. Furniture took shape from the stone and mud. "It's as great as ever!"
"Why exactly am I here?" I asked, he groaned and smacked his forehead
"Kid, you're tethered to me now. You're my swordsmen and I'm your demon. That means we handle each other's vendettas. Got that much?" Chaos asked rhetorically "Good, so I need you to fight against a few angels and please try to make it back in one piece!"
"Then you'll handle my vendetta?" I asked, he nodded
"If you make it back." He muttered, handing me a dark black knife and tossing me out of the cavern. I held tight to the sword and well the two of us flew way high up into the sky. My ears popped and I was standing on clouds.
"What kind of magic?" I asked, chaos turned my head to a group of six guys. All with wings, and glowing silver circles on their heads.
"Oi! A mortal!" One of them screeched, pulling a mace from his belt and running at me. His wings spread and he was a tiny bit intimidating. I hit him in the stomach with a fire spell, he flew backward and landed flat on his back.
"Well then. I like you already Mister.Mortal. It's a shame I'll have to kill you, if you aren't dead already. You have a demon sword, so it's nothing personal. I'll only remove your head." One angel said, pulling a sword from his belt. I cast Orion shield and stood with chaos in hand. Then sheathed him and drew the knife.
"By God, is that what I think it is?" The blade had turned a silvery color and shone brightly.
"How did you get an archangel's knife, unless-" one angel said, he reached for a chakram at his side. The knife hummed dangerously in my hand when he reached for it, he moved his hand away and raised them both.
"Alright kid, what do you want? Are you running a vendetta mission for your sword?" The angel which I knocked flat onto his back asked, sitting up.
"Yeah, I need a favor. Destroy the sword." I said, Chaos howled and flew towards my throats I blocked with the knife and parried a few slashes.
"HELP ME YOU'RE ANGELS AREN'T YOU, PROTECTERS OF WHAT'S RIGHTEOUS AND DESTROYERS OF EVIL?!" I yelled blocking a slash with the Orion shield. A chakram flew and embedded itself in Chaos' blade.
The mace using angel bashed the blade and dented it. The sword using angel starting to fence with Chaos. I stabbed Chaos in the hilt with the archangel blade. Black light shone from the crack. An unearthly scream rang out, I stumbled back from the sound. Chaos lashed out, spinning in every direction.
Turning into his humanoid form chaos grabbed me by the throats and teleported. Back in the cave Chaos threw me into the ground, and kicked me in the ribs until they broke.
Still boiling with malice, chaos lifted me up off the ground by my throat.
"For that little or of rebellion, I'm going to break you." Chaos said, flinging me across the room. I hit the wall so hard my back popped, I got whiplash from the collision. I slumped down against the wall, sharpening a knife Chaos walked towards me.
My vision darkened, and my stomach swam. Tendrils of darkness came shooting out of chaos in all directions, lifting and crushing stones, slicing through stalagmites, and lifting me off the ground and extending my limbs.
A cruel smile on Chaos' face and he rested the knife against my cheek, then drug it quickly leaving a thin cut on my face. Angrily, chaos began making more cuts. My body burned and I tried to relax so that blood wouldn't flood out through the wounds. Chaos punched me in the stomach, over and over and over. I coughed and my lungs aches, but Chaos wasn't done yet.
The tendrils still held me tight, Chaos walked over and picked up a glowing fire poker. Striding towards me with his fiery weapon in hand, Chaos smiled cruelly. Chaos was loving this, loving dealing out pain, feeding off my agony and anger. Feeding off the chaos he was building within me.
"Time for a branding so people know your allegiance is to me, and no one or thing else." Chaos said, holding the poker up to my skin. The flames burnt worse than anything, I screamed out in pure agony, the brand was held in hellfire! My muscles jerked as I tried to pull away from chaos branding my abdomen. I freed my leg and kicked him away.
I thrashed and pulled on the reaming tendrils, breaking free my left hand. I snapped my fingers and a weak lightning spell launched. Just enough to disorientate Chaos for me to pick up the knife he dropped.
I stabbed and cut the tendrils off my right hand. I ripped apart the tendrils on my right leg.
I ran, leaving a disgruntled and angry chaos. If we ever meet again and I'm not stronger than a master wizard, I'll be killed.
