Jason had just gotten back from his business, splattered in blood. I whimpered slightly and held Cas for a second. "How's he gonna react?!" I said in a hoarse whisper, scared out of my mind. "I don't know, but you gotta tell him soon. I should probably go, though, so text me how it goes." She replied gently, hugging me tight once more before getting up and pulling me up as well. "Like I said, it'll be fine." She promised once more, walking downstairs and punching Jason hard in the arm before heading out. They have a weird friendship, with a lot of hate involved.
I wiped the tears off my face quickly as I heard him coming upstairs, acting normal and pretending I was just laying in bed and playing on my phone. "Hey, babe." I said, smiling at him as he entered the room. He waved silently, pulling off his bloody clothes before grabbing fresh ones and disappearing into the bathroom to shower. He knows by now that I won't let him near me if he is still covered in gore from his killings.
When I heard the shower start, I started to try and think of ways to tell Jason what was going on. Be straightforward? Wait a while and take another test to make sure I'm absolutely pregnant? I groaned at the though of carrying a baby for another nine months and having to risk my heart being broken once again.
My heart jumped as I heard the water stop in the bathroom and Jason walk out in clean clothes, giggling a bit as he flopped down next to me and propelling me a short distance into the air. He caught me while I was slightly thrown up from the bed, trapping me in a tight hug. I grinned, flipping over so I was facing him, laying on top of his chest. "Hi." I said, smiling and resting my chin on my hands.
Times like this make me realize how happy I am. How much I care for him. And how much I want to spend the rest of my life here. I made up my mind in these kinds of moments that I wouldn't pick someone else over Jason. He's my psycho guy, and I'm his crazy girl.
"Jason?" I asked softly, raising my head to look him in the eyes. He stared back, waiting for me to continue. "Cassie was over as you saw, and she thought that she could've been pregnant." I started, still looking up to him. He nodded his head slightly, and curious to why I was telling this. "She decided to take a pregnancy test, and I had to show her how to do it..." I continued, getting more nervous as I continued. It was even more pressuring at how intently Jason listened.
"My test was positive... two lines popped up." I murmured softly, finally breaking eye contact with him and laying my head against his chest.
"What I'm saying is that I'm pregnant." I finally blurted out, taking in some audibly shaky breaths after I said this. "I'm sorry. I thought we were good, I didn't think it would happen again--" I started to ramble aimlessly, but all Jason did was sit bolt upright and took me off, standing up. His own breathing was uneven from the news I had just told him. "Are... are you okay?" I asked softly, my voice slightly nervous as I asked this aloud. He just stared at me for a second before quickly turning around and sprinting off, slamming the front door behind him as he left and making me tremble. Oh no.
'Why did he run off?! He seemed so excited when I told him about my first one!!! Was I too straight forward about it?! Did he change his mind about me and the baby?!?!' This was all making me freak out, since the realization of what just happened had finally set in.

"I'm telling you Cassie, he just took off and hasn't been back since." I cried to her over the phone, huddled up on my bed with tears streaming down his face. It was late the same night I had told Jason, and I haven't even heard him since he walked out. "Knock it off, (y/n). He loves you, correct?" Cass asked in a serious tone. "Y-yeah..." I mumbled, nodding my head to answer her own question even though she couldn't see it. "And he had a shitastic childhood with a dumb-fuck father, right?" She continued, making me agree once more. Cassie sighed, and I could hear her frustration at Jason leave.
"(Y/n/n), he's scared, dummy. I am willing to bet money on it. He's not angry, just scared for the future of the kid." She finally concluded, and I could practically hear the victorious smirk on her face. "You're probably right." I agreed quietly, still shaken up though about the events of the day. "Want to come over here for a couple days? Just let Jason adjust to finding out he's gonna be a daddy?" She asked. "Oh, he's been a daddy for a while." I said, the mischievous grin returning back to my face. "Gasp, (y/n)! My innocence is ruined forever." Cas said dramatically, causing me to laugh even more. "What innocence?" "Shut the fuck up and pack up. I'll pick you up in 15 minutes."

Jason was still nowhere to be seen as I threw my things in the back of Cassie's car, sliding into the passenger seat. "Ugh, you smell like sex." I pretended to groan as I shut my door and buckled in. "Apparently I can do it right and without getting knocked up." She teased. There was a dead silence for a few seconds, then we both bursted out laughing. "Jesus Christ woman. Let's just go." I was able to say through the amused hiccups and snorts.
"I love this house." I said as I sat with Cassie in the swimming pond, stretching in the heated water and sighing happily. "At least you got your own personal security at your place." She laughed, making me crack up and nod. I had been at her place for a couple days now, and I was heading back tomorrow early in the morning. We had been talking and laughing and teasing one another so much, and it made me think about staying longer. But I know Jason well enough that he's probably freaking out. "Well, imma go to bed. I'm tired as hell." I laughed, getting up and heading to Cassie's guest bedroom.
Cassie dropped me off the next morning back at my place. I sighed as I waved her goodbye and walked inside silently, heading up to my room. I was thoroughly surprised to see Jason asleep, spread eagle on his stomach and snoring like a lawn mower. His mask was off, and his face looked tired and sad, like the dream he was having was a bad one.
I quietly set my suitcase down, moving his arm slightly and crawling under the covers with him. He slightly stirred but didn't fully awake, groaning and then laying on his side facing me. I smiled slightly at this, falling asleep as well. I hadn't noticed how tired I was and how long I had been up stressing over the situation until I hit the covers of my own bed.
I woke up later to have my back pressed firmly against Jason's chest, one of his hands resting on my abdomen and the other one playing with my hair gently. I smiled to myself, turning my head slowly and looking up to him. "As you can see, I've returned." I murmured sleepily, rubbing my eyes and cuddling back to him. It was only then I noticed the note between his fingers. I took it into my own hands and read his jagged, untidy writing:
I'm sorry for flipping out earlier. You know I had a shitty childhood and that my own dad left, and I don't want anything to happen to our own kid. I folded the note back up and set it on the nightstand, turning to face him. "I understand. But are you ready to be a father now?" I asked quietly, looking up to his eyes. He shrugged his shoulders and nodded, which meant he'd get used to it. I grinned and pecked his lips once.
"I'm glad you're ready. Plus, I owe Cassie ten bucks for your explanation. She said the same thing as you."
