Mrs. Hiddleston
Chapter 14

3 years earlier.

It was a beautiful, warm Sunday early morning. You had just arrived in the park and were putting your rollerskates on. There was no one else besides you; it was barely 6 am. You enjoyed rollerskating, but unfortunately you didn't have much free time anymore.

Since the summer began, you've been working on three jobs to earn money for the last year of the college. So you worked most of the time, but now you had couple of free days.

Once you got your rollerskates on, you put your sneakers in your backpack, and started rollerskating. You were one of those few people, who didn't listen to music, while running, or in this case- rollerskating. You liked to listen to the sounds around you.

The road ahead was empty and you went fast. You were kind of like an adrenaline junkie, when it came to rollerskating. You loved the feeling you got, when you were skating at high speed, the sound of wheels whirring against the asphalt, and the feeling of wind in your hair.

You let your mind wonder. You thought about your future goals and dreams, and recalled the memories from the time, when you were still living in Florida with your parents... You wondered, when - if at all - you will get married...

Going tirelessly at your top speed, you didn't notice, when suddenly someone came jogging from behind the corner. You collided with him and you both fell to the ground.

"Oh god, Sir, I'm so sorry! Are you okay? I'm so sorry!" you said rambling, not actually looking up at the man.

"No, forgive me, I wasn't paying attention. I should really look, where I'm going. Let me help you up." The man apologised and said kindly. You looked up and gasped in surprise.

"You're Tom Hiddleston," you muttered. He smiled down at you as he held his arm out for you to take.

"Yes. Is this a problem?" he asked, grinning.

"No, not at all. I'm just a little... surprised, that's all." You took his hand and he helped you back on your feet, but you yelped, when you felt strong pain in your ankle. You would have fallen back to the ground, if Tom hadn't held you up against him.

"Are you all right?" he asked worriedly.

"I'm not really sure," you replied.

"Let's get you to sit down."

With your arm over his shoulder, he guided you over to a bench nearby and you sat down. He knelt down in front of you and gently tried to bend your right leg. You hissed in pain.

"Does this hurt?" he asked. You nodded. "I'm going to have to take a closer look," Tom said as he started to remove your roller skates, "Is it okay?"

"Yes," you replied. He took off the roller skate on your right leg and placed it aside, then gently touched your ankle and softly tried to move your leg just a little. You had to bite your lip to prevent from crying out in pain.

"I'm afraid you have sprained your ankle," Tom said, looking at you.

"Oh no!"

"Did you come with a car?" he asked.

"No, I walked. My apartment is a short distance from here."

Tom looked at your ankle once more. Then he took your hands gently in his to examine them also. Only now you noticed that they hurt, too. Your palms were barked and bloody. Though you could not see it, you were sure that your knees and elbows were also bruised.

"Lucky for you, my car is close. I have to take you to the hospital." Tom said as he stood.

"No, no. That's not necessery! I could call my friend and she could take me," you said, although you were certain that she had gone to work already.
