It was already dark and we are now here at starbucks. Eleanor was with us and we were enjoying her company. She's very much like Ashley. No wonder they're cousins.
"Hey, Ash. Can I have Tyler's number. Pretty please." Eleanor begged at Ashley. By the look on her face she kinda err, like Tyler?
Yeah she does. Why bother?
Ssshhh! Shut up brain!
Seems like Ele noticed me because her expression changed from excited to worried. Am I that obvious?
"Alianna? Are you okay? Is something bothering you?" she asked while Ashley stopped tapping her phone and looked at me weirdly.
Okaay, Ash raised her left eyebrow towards me. Awkward.
"I'm fine. I just remembered something." I said.
They both looked at each other and shrugged.
We lasted for about 2 hours at the famous cafe. We talked about a lot of things. I really enjoyed hanging out with them. I glanced at my wrist watch and its already past 7pm. Time flies. As much as I wanted to stay, I promised mom that I'll be home early for dinner. Actually, a family dinner.
"Hey guys, do you mind if I already go? We're having a family dinner and I have to be home as early as I can." I looked at them with pleading eyes.
"Oh, okay. We don't mind at all. You can go." Ashley smiled, so did Eleanor. Both of them were very understanding.
I kissed them goodbye and exited the cafe.
I was normally walking when I saw a familiar face in a nearby restaurant. I narrowed my eyes at the person and it took me a minute to recognize his face. Jumping jellyfish! It's Dean?! I'm one hundred percent sure that its him. He's wearing a black hoodie and jeans. But the most eye popping part is that, he's with someone. No, cross that out, he's with a girl. My heart started to beat faster. I think I'm going to break down at the moment. They were both smiling as they went inside. It totally broke my heart into pieces as I saw how happy they are. I didn't see that smile from him whenever we're together. I pulled myself together as I walked closer to the restaurant. I sighed deeply and opened the entrance. It doesn't matter if I can't be on time for dinner. I need to talk to him.
My tears are about to fall any time soon but I pay no attention to it. My emotions are mixed. I feel betrayed. As I stepped inside, I scanned the whole place looking at every table and then I spotted them. Dean was holding the girl's hand and kissing it softly. What is this? A romantic movie? Its getting on my nerves. I tightened my grip on the sling of my bag causing my knuckles to turn white. I'm already fuming!
I jumped a little when someone poked my shoulder.
"Excuse me Ma'am, do you have any reservation?" A lady in a blue pencil cut dress courteously asked me. She has a small name plate on the left side of her chest that said 'Tiffany Mason'. I assumed she was the manager of the restaurant.
"Oh, uhm no. I don't. I'm with them." I pointed out Dean's table. Tiffany seemed to believe it. She then smiled and left me standing alone.
Show off Dean. You're already busted.
It's now or never Lanna.
I make my way at them. They were both busy talking and they didn't notice me. I cleared my throat and they both turned their attention to me.
Dean's face turned into a pale one, and the girl looked like she's about to pee in her dress. Yeah, that's funny but this is not the right time to laugh.
