Chapter Nine

Jade's POV

Today was our first performance of the Salute tour! I was absolutely buzzing, as were the rest of the girls.

We were back stage, and I could hear the crowd. I breathed out, shaking my hands. I was so nervous, I don't want to mess up. I was worried I would trip or something. Or what if my voice cracked while I was singing, or if I messed up a dance move?

I ran my fingers through my hair, as I saw the back up dancers going over their routine. I decided I should do my vocal warm ups again. I sang softly, doing different pitches with the pattern of the warm up.

Suddenly I felt a pair of arms slither around my waist, catching me by surprise.

"Hey beautiful," I heard a familiar Essex accent whisper, sending shivers done my spine. I smiled.

"Hi Sam," I said, turning around in his arms, placing a peck on his lips.

"Ewwww!" I heard Perrie and Leigh-Anne groan jokingly from behind us.

I turned to face them,"Shut up," I replied laughing slightly. They stuck their toung out me, me then repeating the gesture.

"So, are you excited?" Asked Sam as I turned back at him.

"Yes, but I'm extremely nervous," I answered honestly.

"Don't worry you'll be fine," he reassured me.

"I hope so," I muttered, still unsure of my self.

Sam took my hands, looking at me with his gorgeous brown eyes."You're gonna kill it. I know it."

I smiled at him."Thanks."

"Jade, c'mon, we're on in five," said Perrie. I nodded my head, then turned around pecking Sam's lips. After, I jogged over to the girls.

Us and the dancers did our before performance "ritual", yelling "Salute", at the end and throwing our hands in the air.

Before running on stage, Sam gave me a thumbs up.

I smiled at him, then suddenly all I heard were cheers of the crowd.

"Thank you!" I shouted to the crowd, which responded with loud cheers. We ran off stage, waving and blowing kisses.

What a rush! That was amazing! It went perfect, from the dancers, to the band, to our vocals, to the crowd. It had gone better than I thought it would.

The girls and I cheered, jumping up and down and hugging each other.

"That was great!" I shouted to the girls.

"Are we gonna go celebrate or...?" Asked Leigh-Anne.

"I'm pooped," Perrie replied.

"I second that," said Jesy.

"Third," I agreed. Leigh shrugged, and we all went to our dressing room to change out of our outfits.

Once I was done, I came out, looking for Sam. I realized he wasn't there when we had gotten off stage.

I checked my phone to see if he had texted me where he had gone. I saw a text that read:

Sorry I had to leave a bit early, but you girls did great :) see you later xx

I sighed, walking back to the girls.

We had gotten to our hotel, which we were staying in since we had another performance at the same place tomorrow.

I was sitting on my bed as I scrolled through twitter reading some things the fans had said after the performance. They all seemed to have loved it, which made me even happier.

Perrie laid beside me, already asleep, snoring slightly. Perrie and I shared a bed, whilst Jesy and Leigh shared the other in the room.

I hadn't heard from Sam since the show. I didn't know where he was. I texted him twice, but got no answer.

I was getting a bit tired. I clicked my phone off, then set in on the desk beside the bed. I got comfortable then finally closed my eyes.

Just when I thought I was drifting off, my phone began to ring loudly. My eyes shot open, for the noise scared me.

"Jade, turn off your phone," I head Jesy sleepily groan.

"Sorry," I replied. I quickly answered the phone,"Hello?"

"Hey Jade," said Sam,"I know it's really late but I... er..."

"You what?" I asked, raising my eyebrow, not satisfied that he decided to call me now.

I heard him breath out,"Theres no easy way to say this, but I'm just gonna say it."

"Okay...?" He was starting to get me a but worried.

"I... got arrested."
