Chapter 6: Gamzee!?

You moved your head to the direction of the noise. It seems to have come from Vriska. You have a not-so-good feeling about her. She wants to pet you, too! Who doesn't? You're a beast for crying out loud! You're too badass for these guys. But, everyone should get a shot at hogging you. You guess it's Vriska turn. You jog over to Vriska. She smirks. She starts petting the absolute shit out of you.

"You are toooooooo cool for these losers! I know! You can stay with me!"

You look at her. She has a wide grin on her face. Everyone glares at Vriska's statement. No way in hell are they going to let you stay with her. Not today, not tomorrow, not right now, NOT EVER!

"Like she'll ever MOTHERFUCKING LOVE YOU!"

Not even 2 seconds later does GAMZEE erupt in protest. Holy shit. It's about to go down...

Everyone flinched back as Gamzee charged at Vriska, faster than anyone can process what's going on. Gamzee tackles Vriska, pinning her down, and started beating the crap out of her, yelling profanities with every punch.

"STAY THE MOTHERFUCK AWAY FROM MY MIRACLE! SHE'LL NEVER MOTHERFUCKING EVER WANT TO STAY WITH YOU!"

Vriska tries to fight back but she was too beaten and bruised to do any damage, too weak to save herself. You tried to break up the fight, but Equius was holding you back.

You saw everyone take a step back with worried stares. Karkat walked up to Gamzee and tried to calm him down.

"HEY! GAMZEE! CALM DOWN BUDDY! NO ONE IS GOING TO TAKE (NAME)! SHE'S OKAY! SHE'S RIGHT OVER THERE. SEE?"

Gamzee stopped beating Vriska and looked over at Karkat. You could see Gamzee's eyes. They were so red. They were filled with such a murderous passion.

Gamzee was calming down a bit thanks to Karkat, but once those eyes traveled to your direction, Gamzee saw Equius holding you, all that calmness got chucked out the window, all that was left was blind rage. Equius was fucked.

Gamzee shoved Karkat away and hopped off Vriska. Vriska was a bloody, beaten mess. You felt bad for her. Kanaya moved towards Vriska and picked her up. With the help of Feferi, they went to Kanaya's hive to deal with the wounds. Now we had to deal with Gamzee.

"STAY THE MOTHERFUCK AWAY FROM
MY MIRACLE!"

Gamzee took out his clubs and charged at Equius. Everyone ran at Gamzee, successfully holding him back. Gamzee started thrashing in everyone's grip. Karkat tried again at calming Gamzee down, this time it worked. Gamzee calmed down. His eyes slowly faded back to yellow. He collapsed on the floor, the trolls were still holding onto him. Everyone let go and breathed a breath of relief. Glad that was over.

You had a panicked look on your face. WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?! Does that happen often?! Equius finally lets you go and you run up to Gamzee. You nudge him with your nose a couple of times. He seems to be fully out cold. All that rage takes a lot out of him.

Everyone looks at you with eyes of pity.

"THAT... I'M SORRY THAT FUCKING HAPPENED. THAT WASN'T SUPPOSE TO FUCKING HAPPEN. IF VRISKA KEPT HER BITCHY SPIDER MOUTH SHUT, THAT WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED."

You grunt in response. Still saddened by Gamzee's current state.

"WHAT YOU SAW WAS GAMZEE'S SOBER SIDE. HE WAS HIGH ON HIS SOPOR SHIT, SO, I GUESS HE GOT REALLY MAD WHEN VRISKA TRIED TO TAKE YOU AWAY. HE REALLY DIDN'T LIKE THAT."

You nod in understanding. Jealousy is a powerful emotion.

"IT'S GETTING LATE, WE SHOULD GO TO SLEEP. IT'S BEEN A LONG DAY."

Everyone starts agreeing with Karkat, some yawn.

"SOLLUX, GET GAMZEE BACK TO HIS HIVE."

"Ugh...Fiine KK."

"I'LL  SEE YOU TOMORROW, (NAME)."

You nod. Sollux uses his power to lift up Gamzee and everyone starts leaving. They all said goodnight to you before they left. You walked back into your cage. You lay down and think about Gamzee. Will he always be like this? You never know, maybe. You hope this was a temporary thing and that Gamzee will be fine in the morning. But, something tells you that this won't be the last you see of Gamzee's sober side, no, it will get way worse, and that thought scares you. You fall into a dreamless sleep, a sleep you'll soon wake up from.
