Feral ruins

(Peridots POV)

"Run!!"

Screams could be heard everywhere. Cries for help from helpless gems all around. Screaming in pain from... The Weapon... there bodies morphed into unrecognizable creatures. Forms malfunctioned and minds messed up. Acting as animals, horrifying.

They all pass by me. Ruining into the dark night forest for there lives. I was truly shocked as I stood in a frozen state. How could this happen to us? Why now? Why ever?! I thought.

The Homeworld Clan and the Universe Clan had been at war for a long time. Ever since the splitting of the Clan. There has never been one second of peace. Well I wouldn't think
there'd be after what happened to Homeworld Clan and one of there leaders, Pink Diamond. Rose Quartz, the former leader of the Universe Clan, had shattered her after all. Officially starting our new Clan. To joy then sadness our beloved leader had passed in order to have her gemling, Steven.

Just then I got scooped off my feet. And got thrown straight into a hug. I look up to see my mate, Jasper. The frantic state she was in was scary. But her face is comforting and a wonderful sight to see for me. Just then Garnet bolted over.

"Jasper! The nursery! There's still gemlings inside!" Jasper snapped out of her scared state and looked at the fusion.

"Right. Quick we have to get there before the corruption song does!"

Jasper then looks down at me with an attempted comforting eyes.

"You ok, darling?" I just slowly nodded still not knowing exactly what happened.

I felt myself jerk from the sudden speed of Jasper running. She and Garnet headed straight for the nursery. Gems falling to the ground in pain all around us. Transforming. It is to hard to watch so I bury my head into my mates chest and cling close.

"There!" I hear Garnet yell, followed by moving of, what I assumed to be, objects. I title my head over to the noise and see, for half a second, three little gemlings and Pearl cowering in fear before a loud noise burst over head and the room crashed down on top of us. Forcing me and Jasper to fall to the ground.

I shifted under Jasper's weight. I move towards her face. Noticing she was in a daze I gave her a light tap on her face. No response. I could hear the corruption song get closer. Fear then struck through me.

"Jasper!" I shook her, "Jasper come on get up quick!"

Jasper's eyes sparked and she jumped up, flinging rubble everywhere. She turned to where the gems had been then over to the horizon. Her eyes widen and she picks me up and throws me to the gemlings, Garnet and Pearl. I heard the song seconds away before... screams that got muffled. Then silence. Everything went dark.

A/N Sorry this is short I just wanted to start off the story and see what you all think. I hope you enjoyed and do tell me if I had any mistakes. ;3 Read it over and I feel it flows nicely but I did find a Autocorrect mistake... fixed it though.
