One week later- August 31st at 7:17PM. Heath's P.O.V
"We will find her, man! She couldn't of gone far!" Zane said, clapping the back of my shoulder for comfort as I sat on the edge of our sofa.
"She wouldn't just do this!" I threw my hands up in a fit of rage before leaning my elbows on the tops of my knees with my head in my hands. I spoke in my regular tone after a moment of silence. "Her and I were doing well. I mean we fought, but... She wouldn't just get up and leave."
"You guys..." Gabbie walked over the kitchen quickly, giving me my phone that had been on the kitchen island. "It's the police."
"Hello? Yes, this is he. She what? Okay, okay I understand. I'll be right there." I sprang up, already going to grab my keys.
"They said they found her in rough shape." I explained as Gabbie and Zane chased after me.

August 26th. 4 days before the incident. Katie's P.O.V
My mind has been completely warped the last few days. My paranoia had gone from a cool two to a severe twenty-three on a scale of one to ten. I was on edge, secluding myself from everyone in the house, Heath included. I had barely left bed unless it was to use the bathroom or have a cigarette. Though they had tried speaking to me multiple times, there was no getting threw to me.
I was lying under the covers, only having my feet exposed, when I felt something hit my head. "Get the fuck up. I'm tired of this already. You're going out tonight."
I sighed, looking over at Heath. "No."
Heath ripped the covers off of me angrily. "We have reservations. Here." He threw one of my pricier dresses and shoes on the bed. It was a fitted, long sleeve, maroon dress with crystal embellishments to accentuate my figure. The shoes were crystal embellished as well and around five inches high. "I went all the way back to that goddamn apartment. You're wearing that and getting pretty. Let's go."
"You're being really mean and I don't like it." I whined, rolling back over in bed.
"You're kidding me." Heath scoffed. He grabbed me by my ankles and yanked me, causing me to yelp. He spun me around and me up by my shoulders, leaving his hands there while me knelt down to look at me. "You know what's mean? That you've been ignoring us all for days while we sit here doing everything in our power to lead abnormal life with you until this all blows over." I went to interrupt him, but he put a finger in my face sternly. "And don't say this shit will never end, because it will. You're acting like a baby. The Katie I fell in love with wouldn't give her life away because of something that might happen. So get up, get showered, get ready. We are leaving by 7:30."
Heath walked out, closing the door behind him. I knew he was listening though so I sighed. I also knew he was right. I proceeded to go to the shower, watching his shadow disappear from underneath the bedroom door as I did so.
Upon finishing my shower, I received a text. This time, from a different phone number, though I still didn't know who this was.
Meet you at Rosarita's at 8😘
Though I hated her currently, Tana Mongeau's voice rang through my head. I remember her explaining that she thought her phone was tapped by hearing a clicking sound right as she went to call someone. My heart sank, scared of my hunch was right. I attempted to call Heath, instantly hearing the click. I hit end, throwing my phone under the sink cabinet. I paused for a moment as if the phone was going to crawl legs and attack me before reaching for the door handle to leave.
I threw the clothes on that Heath had laid out for me quickly, keeping my hair up in a towel. I saw his phone on the desk, next to my makeup as he was outside on the porch smoking a cigarette. I ran over to it, attempting to call Gabbie. I breathed a sigh of relief, realizing there was no clicking and ending the call. I sat down, putting my elbows on my knees and head in my hands. Heath came in a moment later. "Was it what I said?"
"No, no, not you." I shook my head, looking up. Heath stood over me already dressed. I began to do my favorite glammed up makeup. I opted for a deep smokey eye and a lip to match the red of my dress. "Where are we going?"
"Ros-"
"How about Cloud 9?" I raised an eyebrow. Heath went to object when Gabbie walked in. I was halfway through with my makeup and cursed at myself, dropping a bit of false eyelash glue on my leg. "Gabs, wouldn't you rather Cloud 9?"
"You love Rosarita's though." Heath said, wrapping an arm loosely around my shoulders, staring at me into the mirror in front of us.
"Their margaritas are bangin' over at Cloud 9 though, Heath." Gabbie smirked. Heath sighed, looking over at her as I put on my lipstick and finished my contour. "Let's go! Zane and I are ready, anyway!"
Heath looked bothered, mumbling, though I ignored it. "Well, I guess I'll cancel the reservation then..."
"Great! Thanks!" I took my hair out of the towel, letting it air dry as it was almost completely dry. I proceeded with perfectly my face before moving onto making my hair pin straight. I felt Heath staring me down. "What?"
"What is with you?" He raised an eyebrow.
"I'm stressed, still." I shrugged, continuing to avoid eye contact. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders, hugging me from behind as I spoke. I smelled his fancier cologne on his button up, making me smile slightly "I just want to have a good night with you... And everyone else."
Heath kissed the top of my head. "Well, I get it. I'm sorry." I pulled back, fixing my hair. "Hey, can I borrow your phone? Mine is about to die and I want to charge."
"I dropped it in the toilet when I went into the shower." I lied. "It's in rice right now."
"Jeeze, I'm so sorry babe. Tomorrow we can go to Sprint and get you a new one, alright?" He kissed my cheek, walking off to his side of the bed to charge his phone and call Rosarita's.
