Not the same as Hillys, but I thought it fit. This chapter is originally titled 'Captured'

He couldn't scream, face pale and slack jawed as he looked up at it. At him.
Scared was an understatement.
Jack was terrified.
The.. giant man seemed to be.. surprised?
His expression had changed from one of annoyance to one of interest. Jack didn't know which one terrified him more.

He took in the Giants appearance. Black, unkempt hair, a bit of stubble much like Jacks own, tattered clothes (thankfully) and giant, observant brown eyes.
Jack averted his gaze, staring out over the line of trees in front of him.
His breathing was uneven and rushed as he tried to keep calm. Just looking at the guy was intimidating enough. But the look of interest and how his gaze seemed to trace everything was beyond terrifying.
This isn't real this isn't real this isnt-
Jacks silent mantra was cut short when a large shadow engulfed him, eliciting a loud (and totally manly) scream from the petrified irishman. This seemed to break him out of his petrified state, "Someone please! I don't want to die!" He screamed, tears streaming down his face as he tried to curl in on himself.
The shadow seemed to hesitate before he was surrounded by the calloused hand of the giant.
To say the least, it was the weirdest feeling the Irishman had ever felt.
Jack squirmed and kicked, screaming in every language he knew for help.
This only resulted in the hold on him getting a tad bit tighter.
Jack was sure the giant could feel his pulse by now.

As Jack continued to wiggle and yell to be put down and let go, which the giant didn't seem to care for, they started to move.
And damn was Jack glad he hadn't drunken anything before they left.
With every step, Jack lurched a little, the momentum causing his head to bob and smack into the giant, tanned hand a few times.
He refused to look down as they traveled, but he knew the trees were whizzing by because before he could fully process anything, the scenery had completely changed.
The forest was more dense and there was an outcrop of large, stone platforms and boulders.
Jack was laid on one of them and was practically launched a foot off the floor when the raven haired giant plopped down cross legged a few yards away.
Though it probably seemed like feet to the big guy.
Jack pulled against the rope as the giant watched, clearly amused by his antics.
Sure he probably had a bad case of rope burn, but fuck it.
He was panicked as it was, and the giant shadow looming over him wasn't helping.
Jack trembled, his fighting useless, as he pulled weakly at the rope.
He took a deep breath, the thing was human-ish. He might know how to talk, right? Or at the very least understand.
"H-hey!" He yelled up, voice cracking towards the end trying to put on a brave face even if it was smudged with tears.
The giant brown eyes peering down at him seemed to light up at the sound of Jack voice. It was seriously unnerving.
The giant face got closer, much to Jacks discomfort.
He flinched, regretting saying anything, though he pressed on.
"C-Can you, uh.. can you untie me..?" Jack gulped, a shudder running through him as the Giants breath spanned over him.
It seemed to take the being a moment to process Jacks request before he smiled and nodded.
The size of his teeth.. Jack felt like he was going to pass out.
Before he could say anything else, a giant finger rolled him over.
Jacks heart raced. He was going to be fine. Right?
He looked over his shoulder at the sound of shuffling, curiosity getting the better of him.
His eyes widened and his blood ran cold. It had looked like nothing more than a big piece of oddly shaped stone at first, but with the way the giant was holding it, it looked like a knife.
Scenario after scenario ran through Jacks mind. This was it, this was how he died. Chopped to bits. But for what? A stew? Was he going to get made into food now?
He started to trembled, squeezing his eyes shut as he looked away.

He waited.

He waited for the sharp pain of being cut in half. Of something slicing through him like a carrot.
But it never came. The only thing that did was the cold stone grazing his wrists as the rope gave way.

He felt the ground tremble and he hesitantly looked over, using his hands to prop himself up. The giant had tossed the large knife to the side and was looking down at him expectantly.
He let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding and set to work untying his ankles.

He kicked the rope and the stick away, rolling his sore ankles and rubbing his raw wrists. Jack couldn't help but smile as relief flooded him. Now that he was able to move maybe he could-
He yelped in surprise when a giant finger ruffled his hair, flinching away from it.
The finger recoiled, the Giant's smile falling as he looked down at the small Irishman.

They sat there.
Jack unsure of what he could do under such an intense gaze.
And the giant watching the small green haired lad with intrigue.

It took a moment before anything happened. And, oddly enough, it was Jack who broke the silence.
"... Do you have a name?" He yelled, unsure of whether or not the giant could hear him. Again, there was those few moments before his words registered in the Giants mind.
He got a nod in response along with a smile, causing Jack to shudder involuntarily.
He was expecting some sort of guttural growl. Or some sequence of odd sounds. You know, like in the movies.
He wasn't expecting the giant to actually talk. Sure his voice was gruff with disuse, but it was something.
"M.. Mark." It was a simple name. A human name. And he'd said it in such a soft tone some of Jacks anxiety towards the situation vanished. Some but not all.
He nodded, hesitantly placing all hand over his chest. "Jack."
The giant, Mark, smiled wider.
His rough and deep voice a soft murmur. "Jack.."
He was far too giddy about the new information for Jacks liking.
He gulped, glancing around as the giant rolled his name around on his tongue absent mindedly.
He didn't see anything too horrible. There were no.. bones, no tattered and misplaced clothing of girls, nothing that would alert him of what was to come.

Jack slowly stood, making sure not to make any sudden movement that would alert Mark of his intentions as he watched him, his hands playing with.. a tree? It looked like a twig by comparison.
Jack gulped, it was now or never.
Mark looked about ready to say something when Jack bolted for the nearby tree line, he had to get out. He had to get back to the boat.
He stumbled as the ground shook, ears ringing when the startled, "no!" Left the Giants lips, followed by a resounding snap.
But still he pressed on.
He was so close. Just a few more yards and he'd be in the clear. He could get back to the boat and-

Jack ran into a wall of flesh, falling back with a thud. He wasted no time in scrambling backwards and away from the enormous hand, heart hammering with adrenaline. He hesitantly looked over at the Giants face, seeing a frown and furrowed brow.
The large hand scooped the Irishman up, causing him to yelp in surprise and scramble for a hold. Dizziness hit him like a truck as vertigo set in as he was raised to eye level.
"No." Mark scolded, cupping the green haired man in his hand as he held the other in a loose fist against his thigh. He gestured towards the trees with his head, "Bad."
Jack squirmed atop the hand, gulping. "S-Sorry..?" He mumbled, looking anywhere that wasn't the giant face that was so unnervingly close.

Mark nodded with a soft sigh that made jack temporarilly lose his hold. Jack gripped to the giants thumb, which was just past his chest when he stood, as he looked around. His gaze landed on the others closed hand just as Mark spoke up.

"..Hurt.?" Jack flinched, retracting his hands when he felt something rubbing his wrist. He turned his head to see Mark had been rubbing his wrist with his enourmous index finger.

Jack gulped and shrugged, "Not really.. just a lil sore I guess.." he looked back down at the giants hand, brows furrowed. "Mark, youre bleeding."

He kept his eyes down, the size making of the other it easier to deal with how high he was. The raven haired male brought his free hand up and opened it, revealing a nasty set of splinters. Jack winced at the sight, Mark just frowned. He looked between Jack and his bleeding hand, shrugging as he moved to place his injured hand back down in favor of holding the tiny Irishman.

"Wait!" Jack blurted, keeping his gaze on the bleeding hand as he felt the giants eyes focus on him, "arent you gonna take the splinters out?" obvious worry crept into his voice. It could get infected! He doubted there were doctors that could treat such a large patient.

Mark simply shrugged again, "Fine." was the only word the giant uttered as he moved to put his hand down again.

"No, not fine! ... Let me see, I-I'll get them out." He didn't wanna stay with Mark, but he didnt want him hurt either.Mark looked reluctant, but hesitantly brought his hand back up and placed it side by side with the hand Jack was in.

The irishman slowly stood, careful not to loose his balance and where he placed his feet as he moved to the injured hand, which flinched with every step he took.

Jack gulped, "D-Don't move ok?" He didnt give Mark a chance to answer before he startd pulling at the closest 'splinter.'

In reality, they were the size of jacks forearms and as thick as his fist.

Mark whimpered, looking away from Jack for the first time since they've met.
