Chapter Five- Common White Girl
Jc's P.O.V
Taylor passed the hat around the table. We were picking our Secret Santa's today, since Christmas was a week away now.
"Yes." Jenn whispered as she picked a name out of the hat and quickly shielding it.
"This is going to be interesting." Andrea sighed and studied the slip of paper. She handed it to me and I picked a slip before passing it along. I unfolded the paper and Taylor's name was written in sharpie. This had to be fate picking her name out of everyone else's. And I had the perfect present in mind.
Everybody had a name and we all went our separate ways. Tyler headed back to his apartment. Ricky and Jen headed outside to the pool to film a video. Connor headed up to his room to do who knows what. Sam and Trevor went to play video games in the living room. Kian and Andrea went upstairs to make a video. Taylor and I hopped in my car to go shopping for the presents. It was a quick ride to the mall and finding parking was easy. My sunglasses rested on my head as I watched Taylor fixed her hair in the overhead mirror. She looked naturally beautiful all the time and I couldn't help but state.
"What are you staring at?" Taylor chuckled and waved a hand in front of my face. I blinked a couple of times before smiling.
"I'm waiting for you to get out of the car."
••
Taylor and I headed to Starbucks first to get some drinks. We ordered our drinks and sat at a nearby empty table.
"Who's name did you pick?" Taylor asked while putting her phone in her pocket.
"If I told you, what would be the point of calling it a 'Secret Santa'?" I answered and Taylor playfully glowered at me.
"You don't trust me?" She tested as I shook my head in reply. Taylor gasped in fake shock.
"Well, I got Ricky," Taylor stated and her eye suddenly perked up. "I should get him a Starbucks gift card!"
Taylor booking it to the cashier and picked up a colorful gift card. She picked up our drink orders on the way back.
"How much is on the card?" I asked and grabbed my lemonade from her.
"50 bucks." Taylor grinned before taking a seat across from me.
"Just for Starbucks?" I gawked.
Taylor shrugged, "Ricky's a Common White Girl. $50 for Starbucks is like heaven."
We both cracked up laughing. He seriously is like a white girl with his coffee. He's almost as bad as Connor. We both finished our drinks and walked around the store a bit. I managed to grabbed Taylor's present while she was preoccupied in a store. Her first present was going to be a pair of blue vans. They're always out of stock when she goes to buy it. I hid the bag by my side as Taylor and I walked out of the mall to head home.
••
I parked the car and locked it behind me. Taylor and I walked up the walk way and opened the front door. It was really quiet when we entered the house. If you know anything about O2L, you'd know our house is NEVER quiet.
"Where is everyone?" Taylor whispered since she knew this was silence was extremely odd. I shrugged my shoulders but signaled for her to keep quiet.
We set our bags down by the door and snuck around each room. The living room, family room, and upstairs were empty. I walked into the kitchen to find it empty too. This was very strange. Taylor pointed over to the backyard.
"They're probably outside trying to scare us or something." Taylor laughed quietly before opening the door. We stepped out we screamed BOO! but nobody was there.
"Turn around." Someone ordered from behind us. Taylor and I turned around to see our 6 friends standing on the roof. Andrea held a hose and Jenn handed out water balloons.
"Fire!" Kian shouted and hurled a ballon in my direction. I luckily dodged it but the hose soaked Taylor and I. There was no place to find cover.
"What's going on?" Trevor asked as he stepped outside. He must've been at his vocal lessons. I grabbed his shoulders and used him as a human shield.
"NO!" Trevor hollered as he shielded his face. Taylor quickly duh through the bin of pool toys and pulled out water guns. She filled them up at the pool and handed me one. I tossed Trevor into the pool before readying my weapon.
"Fire!" I yelled as we shot them with out water guns but it was no match for their powerful hose.
"We surrender!" Taylor shouted and placed the water gun on the floor. I did the same and put my hands up.
"We destroy our enemies." Andrea cheered and howled like a dog.
"Get slayed bitches!" Ricky added.
"You'll pay for this." Trevor grunted and a hand grabbed my ankle before pulling me into the pool.
Taylor's P.O.V
Jc was dragged into the pool by an angry Trevor as our friends climbed off the roof. My stomach was hurting from all this laughing as I watched Trevor attempting to drown Jc. Two arms snaked around my waist and lifted me off the ground.
"HELL NO!" I shouted and craned my neck around to yell at Kian. He devilishly smiled and tossed me over his shoulder to dive in to the pool. Everyone eventually jumped in and was having a good time. Although we were fully clothed and freezing.
"Who's the mastermind behind this prank?" I asked while laying on a pool floaty.
"Kian." Andrea accused and he cheekily smiled at me. I splashed him in the face which was a bad idea because he flipped my float over. I surfaced and wiped water from my eyes. Kian grabbed my hand and pulled me closer.
"I got you, T." He whispered. My cheeks blushed and I looked over my shoulder to hide it.
A saw Jc climbing out of the pool and heading for the house before giving us a death glance. What's wrong with him?
