Andrew deliberately appeared in Caleb's homeroom. He asked his professor if he had an extra seat to test. For his luck, there was a desk, right next to the beautiful blond.
¨Hey Andi¨ Caleb whispered while staring down at his paper, trying to not bring attention to himself. Then his phone rang and his head shot up into the air and burped out a loud 'sorry'. Andrew was laughing at the young boy as he covered his mouth and squinted.
¨Don't laugh at me, little punk¨Caleb teased Andrew, and slapped his shoulder in a friendly manner. Andrew kept giggling and he finally choked out a few words that were still incomprehensible. Caleb just smiled and returned to his work, finally allowing Andrew to grasp his breath. The professor paid minimal attention to them after that, they were in homeroom after all.
¨H-Hey Caleb, do you have any plans tomorrow?¨Andrew stammered out, nervously playing around with his fingers. Caleb looked at him and laughed, Andrew blushed at his reaction.
"What are you nervous at?" He replied with a mischevious smirk upon his face, Caleb suspecting but not allowing his predictions take over.
"Nothing" Andrew grasped for any hope of being believable. Caleb chuckled and shook his head.
"Where are you going to invite me, sir?" Caleb questioned the brunet. His pose intimidating as he leaned against the desk and stared at the boy's eyes searching for answers.
"Just my place" Andrew looked off past the youth's shoulder, gazing everywhere but the other's eyes.
"Alright, I'll wait for you after school" Caleb snickered and walked out of the classroom as the bell had rung half way through Andrew's lack of response. Andrew's heartbeat was off the charts, he might have to visit the nurse from the way Caleb played with it. He could've been the background for a heavy metal band's song, or a loud serenating parade. Andrew was content with the blond's response, tomorrow afterschool they'd walk to Andrew's home and he'd introduce him to his dad.

"Hi little punk" Caleb's voice struck through the crowd as Andrew turned around, he was blushing a bit but just returned a wave.
"Let's go this way, it's a shortcut" Andrew crouched through the bushes and falling branches, and searched for the dirt pathway, the blond behind him. As he walked home, he saw a couple police cars surround a near by middle school.
"Someone got caught." Caleb spoke softly while obviously staring at the police and the teenagers that were being arrested.
"Don't stare" Andrew criticized, as he picked up his pace, attempting for the other boy to do the same.
"What? You're scared?" Caleb looked at the brunet and examined his body language.
"It's just disrespectful, I'm not scared." Andrew snapped back and turned the curb onto Greenwood Street. A ton of beeping cars approached him, a crash had occured. He kept moving quickly, his house was right at the end of the block. He turned his head to the side and made sure the other boy was still following, he smiled as he saw the boy intrigued by the scene.
"What do you think happened?" Caleb hurried to the side of him, and watched Andrew pull out his keys from his back pocket.
"Probably some reckless drunk driver" He muttered as he walked over to the front door and stuck the key into the keyhole and opened the door wide open for the blond to enter first.
"Dad! I brought Caleb over today, we'll be in the kitchen" He pushed his backpack onto the floor next to the door and opened the window blinds letting the sun's ray shine through. Caleb threw his backpack next to Andrew's and explored the boy's house. There was a worn off staircase leading to what Caleb assumed was the bedrooms. On the other side was a corner and you could see the glimpse of a white refrigerator. Andrew walked towards the corner and turned into the kitchen, and gestured for Caleb to follow as well.
"I've got PB&J sandwich, or Poptarts. What do you want?" Andrew asked as he looked in the cabinets taking out the box of tarts to show the blond.
"I'll take a poptart, thanks" he stook out his palm and allowed the young boy infront of him to take it out of the bag and give him the edible itself.
They sat down at the counter and quickly gobbled down the snack and sat in awkward silence for a bit.
"So..." Andrew broke the silence as he turned to look at the blond who was still examinating the room he had entered.
"Where's your mom?" He questioned as he looked up the stairs, and avoided the light the shined from the recently opened blinds.
"She's at work, she comes home at 7pm" Andrew replied as he kept staring at the blond's perfect haircut.
"My mom's never home, my dad says she just wasn't interested enough to stay. I miss her sometimes." Caleb shared as he finally looked at the other young boy who was already looking at him, he was about to speak a word before he closed his mouth again.
"That sucks, it's only you and your dad at your house then, right?" Andrew was intrigued to know about the blond, he wanted to seem as empathetic as he could without it showing affection.
"And my sister, she's like a robot though" Caleb spoke carefully, reaching sensitive topics but keeping it on the low. He was now tapping his fingers on the counter and looking at the brown-haired boy's face structure, his nose defined and cheekbones stuck out the perfect amount.
"How old is she?"
"She's twenty, why?" Caleb was confused why age mattered on the subject. He responded anyways though, and now started tapping his foot.
"She most likely witnessed a close friend get detained and her coping technique was to show no more emotion" Andrew explained to the listening blond, he stared down at his hands as he waited for Caleb's remark.
"And how would you know that?" Caleb exclaimed, and kept tapping his foot.
"That occured to my mom, and she told us what happened" Andrew put his elbow on the counter and leaned his cheek on his knuckle and avoided reaching any emotional aspects of the story.
"Oh"
