Marcus' POV

After I came back with the tray full of shots and we all tried some, I notice Hailey looking at the people on the dance floor who dance and sing along. Her soft smile makes me smile immediately. This girl is driving me insane.

I move closer to her while she is still watching all the happy people.

"You want to dance, too?" I ask her.

She freezes the moment she hears my words, probably because she didn't notice I got closer. I giggle lightly at her reaction before she turns around slowly. I rest my right elbow on the table and lay my chin down on my right hand. I smile softly at her, tilting my head a bit to the left, waiting for an answer.

"I would love to but I'm not a good dancer at all..." she finally answers, obviously being completely nervous.

I get my head up, smiling. "C'mon, I will teach you."

I reach my hand out towards her. She looks at it surprised, looks back up at me again when I give her a politely smile, waiting for her to take my hand. She smiles back as she takes it and we leave to the dance floor together.

I turn around one last time to see Lucas smirking and giving me a wink before I turn back around and drag Hailey with me.

I hear her laugh from behind me. "Maaaarcus, you are way too fast for me."

I stop and turn around to her, smiling. "Oh, am I? "

In that moment I pick her up and flick her over my shoulder.

She squeals and laughs even louder. "You are crazy, Marcus."

I just laugh and shake my head before I continue walking over to the dance floor.

As soon as I made my way through the crowd to the middle of the dance floor I let Hailey down carefully. She starts to arrange her hair and makes sure her outfit is on point again. I laugh lightly at her.

She looks up at me, smiling and punching my arm playfully. "You are crazy."

"You said that already," I answer teasingly before I wink at her.

She just rolls her eyes, smiling.

"So, you want me to teach you how to dance?" I ask her, getting back to the main topic.

She nods softly. "I would love to."

I take her hands and pull her a bit closer which seems to make her blush deeply and she quickly looks down to the ground. I just smile softly and start to move my feet to the rhythm of the beat. She slowly starts to copy my moves.

"You see, it's not that difficult," I try to start a conversation to make her feel less uncomfortabel.

"Of course it's not if you have a good teacher," she answers, finally looking up to me again.

I smile softly at her before I look down cowed, watching our feet moving in the same rhythm.

"You know," she starts to speak up once again. I lift my head to face her.

She stares at me for a while before she grabs my hands tighter and smiles at me. "Follow me."

I just raise an eyebrow in confusion but decide to follow her.

Hailey pulls me through the crowd of dancing people until we enter a way more quiet area with some couches. She leads me to the one in the corner and sits down there, tapping to her left, wanting me to sit next to her. I walk over and sit down.

She smiles softly at me. "It was a bit too loud to talk over there."

"Oh. Yes, you're right," I smile embarrassed at her.

"So, what I wanted to say was..." she starts to intertwine her fingers. What is making her that nervous?

I look at her completely serious, waiting for her to continue whatever she wants to say.

She faces me again. "I'm very happy I got this second chance. I mean after I didn't take the first one earlier today I felt kinda upset an-"

"Hailey..." I cut her off, looking straight into her eyes. I smile softly at her.

"You don't have to explain, I know exactly what you mean..."

Her eyes widen as she hears my words. I look down at her hands for a moment before I take and hold them.
