(Louis' POV):
I woke up Saturday to an empty house and a note on the fridge. Apparently mum went to work for today and the sisters are at a sleepover. Great, a house to myself with nothing to do and no one to be with. Maybe..maybe I can invite Harry over! I know where he lives, mum told me the other day at dinner, we and his mum Anne were talking about their move. I could simply just say me and Harry are mates from school and play football together, not that hard. I change into some sweatpants and a Tshirt with my jacket and a beanie before walking out to my car. As I'm driving down the road I start second guessing my decision..maybe Harry will not come? His mum won't believe me, maybe he won't even be there! Before I can turn around I recognize the house mum described and park across the street from it. I'm sitting there just watching the house for a few moments when I realize I probably look like a stalker. So I eventually get out and go up on their porch, knocking lightly on the door. A woman with black hair comes to the door, I can tell it's Harry's mum by the same facial features. "Hello, may I help you?" She smiles at me with a kind smile and soft eyes, she seems like a sweet woman. "Yes, I was wondering if Harry is home? You work with my mom, I'm Louis Tomlinson. It's nice to meet you, me and Harry are mates from school and football." We chat for a bit at the door before she invites me inside as she goes to get Harry. This is working out easier than I thought it would, a few minutes later I see Anne come down again with Harry following. I can tell my his facial expressions he is shocked and upset that I'm here. "Hey Harry." I smile up at him and give a small wave, trying to act normal around Anne. "Harry you go have fun with Louis ok? Stay out as late as you want, this is new for you. Nice meeting you Louis." I smile back at her and walk out on their porch, it takes a little while for Harry to come out but eventually he does. We walk over to my car and get in as I start driving down the road, I'm not sure what to do now. "So Harry..where would you like to go? There's the park, restaurants, my house, plenty of places." I look over at him to see a dull look on his face and him staring straight at me. "You probably want to know why I came. I was alone, empty house with no one around and I knew where you lived from my mum so I decided to come. Just wanted to try and get to know you.." I blush as I add the last part, turning down a road. I was getting no where by doing this so I decided he could talk if I go to a restaurant. "Well it is time for lunch so how about it?" I smile over at him as I park at a small diner, getting out of the car. After around ten minutes of waiting he finally gets out and follows me in. I sit down at my booth I always choose, handing him a small menu. "This place has amazing burgers and fries, I come here a lot as you can tell." I look up at him again, all he does is stare outside the window, watching nothing. The waitress comes over and I order my regular with a water before looking to Harry. "Ill be right back, excuse me." I headed to the bathroom and left Harry to himself.
(Harry's POV):
Why Louis came and got me was a surprise, so far he is the only one at school to try and make an effort to get to know me. My mum practically forced me to come here, I was very hesitant about it. Just like Louis' Saturday mine was no better, lonely and boring. Yet I am so used to being alone that it does not bother me anymore. I watch Louis walk off the bathroom and then look back up to the waitress. "I um...just give me what he is having." I nod and hand her the menus before looking outside the window again. Louis has been in the bathroom for at least fifteen minutes, our food had arrived five minutes ago and I haven't ate since I feel it is rude. He finally comes back and explains he had a phone call from his mum. "Hey, how did the waitress know what you ordered? Did you tell her?" I nod slowly at him before eating some of my burger. He was definitely right, this is amazing and so are the fries. Louis tries making small talk but I only answer with a nod or shake of the head, or just a simple shrug. After an hour we pay and go out to the car, getting on the road again. "So where to now?" I hear Louis' voice again, knowing he is looking over to me. I see a small ice cream shop and point over to it, blocking out the small smile I want to so badly show. We pull up and get out, going inside to see different ice cream flavors and toppings everywhere. An older lady is at the counter, smiling toward us. "Hello boys, what would we like today?" I give a small smile but let it fall quickly before Louis or anyone else can see. I point to chocolate and a few toppings, watching as she prepares it. Louis decides on the same thing except a few extra toppings to go on his. The lady hands it to us and we pay here, me giving her an extra tip for being kind. We just eat it in the car as we start driving around, listening to the radio. Louis talks nonstop about random things, from ice cream to clothes. Very weird but something I like, you can keep a conversation with him..if I talked that is. After a few hours of just driving around, he starts heading home again. "So what's your favorite thing to do? Besides football of course, is there any hobbies?" I don't answer him as we keep driving to my house, hearing a loud sigh escape his lips. When we pull up I get out of the car, walking over to my porch with Louis right behind me. I open the door to walk in before looking back at him. "Music and art." A look of shock goes across his face as I answer his last question, me shutting the door quickly.
(Louis' POV):
I can't believe it..it's been over a week at school and no one has heard him speak once. But I just did..he actually answered me! Music and art, so he's creative and musical..very interesting. I hurry back to my car, starting to drive home from his house. It's not far away but it feels as if it's miles because my train of thought is focused on one thing. His voice is amazing, he has a slow, deep, British accent. It's nothing like how I imagined it to be, there's even a slight rasp to it as he speaks. This means he has a little trust in me, hopefully that's what it means. I arrive home and hop out of the car, running inside and up to my room. I yell down to my mum that I don't want dinner tonight since I went out, shutting my door afterwards. After showering and changing into some different clothes I lay down on my bed, staring up to my ceiling. I can't believe he actually talked to me, I got three of my questions answered though. Four to be honest, what his voice sounds like, favorite food which I'm guessing is ice cream, his hobbies and his interests. Maybe next time I see him he'll be more open to me and speak more. Maybe not, I guess it's worth a try. I fall asleep in a few hours with only one thing on my mind. Harry.
