The Beach At 7?

I felt her staring at me and caught me staring at the bracelet.

"Do you like seahorses?"
"Love em. I think they're really colorful and exotic.. Just like-"

"Welcome Class!" The teacher interrupted. I got scared and even jumped, and her tight bun and pot choice of clothes didn't make it any better.

"Let me take attendance and well get straight to our lesson."
She  grabbed a clip board. The lights of the auditorium lowered down till it was completely dark.

"What were you saying?"
"Oh.. I blushed I said they're exotic but you-"

"Liam Parker?"
"Oh lord god what the fuuckk."
I raised my hand.
" I'm here ma'am." I said loud enough for her to hear.

"Yes, and you're new!"
I groaned.
"Welcome Liam."
"Thanks.." I looked at her I didn't want to ask her for her name again because I know she told me but I've just been stressed I actually didn't remember.. I know it starts with an L.. Lira.. Lexi..Lex...

"So, who did you come here with?" She asked.

"Just myself. My mom kicked me out I'm on my own to resolve a problem back home."

"On your own?... No friends no family?"

"None, why?"

"It just seems..wrong. Do you have any plans after school?"

"No, do you have anything in mind?" My hands started shaking.

"Lexine Abdi?" The teacher called out.
"Present." She said, and I pretended not to be aware.

Lexine must be a goddesses name.
"How about the beach?"

She whispered in my ear when she pulled away her eyes were sparkling in excitement. He dazzling smile enticed me.
"Definitely, I'd love to... Are you gonna bring anybody?"

"Who is there to bring? There's not many people I'm friends with here, this schools nice and all, but the people are aggressive and rude. Specially at the kinda-end-of-the-year."

"I see, but do you think I'll make any friends at all?"

"You've made one that won't let you down.." She said grinning.

"Haha guess I don't need much more."

The teacher began to explain different ways to express your mood through your facial expressions during acting. It was actually really boring, but being close to Lexine made me a nervous wreck and I kept scratching my neck when there was no itch.
An hour passed of the teacher blabbing her mouth off, and I wondered why I even picked this elective.
"Psst." I turned my head
"Hm?"
She slid a piece of paper to me and I opened it to reveal her phone number.
I looked at her with a smile
"So I can call you when I'm ready." She whispered.

But wait.... I DON'T HAVE A CAR!..anymore.

Crap... My heart sunk. That's it my life's over, she's gonna be like, ew..this guy doesn't have a car. He's not my type.

"Lexine," I whispered.
"I ...don't have a car right now I'm sorry."

"You're hilarious... I meant to walk there!" She whispered happily.
She was so much more positive minded then I..

"I mean, its not far from here, still wanna go?"
"Hells yes."
"Awesome! We're gonna go to the grand lake."

I thought for a minute, is "grand lake" another word for beach?

I laughed. "Sure thing, around what time would you be ready?"

"Seven... I'll call you-"

Rinnnnggg

The sound of the bell scared both of us and I scrambled to get my bag and emotions together.

"Well.. See ya'around?" She said.
"See ya." I watched he leave with my bag held tight to my chest like a crazy person.

I sighed and dug in my pocket for my next class.

English, not bad.
The day passed by slowly yet surely, and closer and closer came seven o'clock...
When I'd get to hang out with that mysteriously beautiful Lexine..
The thought of it pulled my head round and round all day inattentively doing everything all day, not thinking .. Until that final bell rang for us to go home.

It was too bad I didn't have any other classes with her today, but at least I have a chance of seeing her in a class tomorrow.
