Josh clenched his jaw, his mouth trembling. "We have to let that go. This wasn't our faults. This wasn't Tyler's fault. It was no ones fault okay?" Josh wrapped his arms around me, silent sobs, racking his body.
I breathed into his shirt, letting myself go for just a couple seconds. Josh pulled back, wiping his eyes. "Thank you. Thank you so much." I smiled at Josh, opening my mouth to tell him it was no trouble when suddenly, a doctor ran out into the hallway.
"He's awake!"
Josh grabbed my hand sprinting down the hallway. We walked into his room, and as soon as I caught sight of his face, I started sobbing. "y/n," his voice was hoarse, almost unrecognizable. I started crying more, gulping in breaths.
Josh ran his hands through his hair, turning away for a second. When he turned back, his face started to fall apart. "Tyler," he almost couldn't get out his name. "God, Tyler I'm so sorry." At this Tyler lost it, and all three of us cried together.
I walked towards Tyler, hugging him; kissing him. "I love you, I love you Tyler, why would you do this to me?" I held onto his hand; the hand that must've held either the bottle or the glass of water.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I love you too. I'm sorry." Tyler pulled me close, repeating sorry over and over again. Josh walked over to Tyler and me, and we all hugged each other fiercely. "Josh," Tyler spoke, once we pulled away.
"I'm sorry. I- I couldn't," Tyler looked away, unable to speak. "I know." Josh and Tyler looked at each other, an unspoken conversation going on in their heads.
Then, Tyler looked at both of us, and spoke quietly. "I'm sorry I didn't try to stay alive."
"But I promise you, now I will."
