My Enemy Is My Mate?!

Chapter One ~ Why me?!

Claire's POV

"Mate!" My wolf, Britt, screamed as I was captivated by the blue- green eyes of my enemy and ex bestfriend, Alexander Williams.

No this can't be happening! I'm probably dreaming! Yes thats it I'm dreaming. With that thought in mind I did the only thing I could think of.

I ran.

I should probably start from the beginning. My name is Claire Ace, I have long dull blonde hair till my waist and striking emerald eyes. I have a baby face which I hate, I'm sarcastic, rude and short tempered. Did I mention I'm a werewolf? Well now you know. My dad is the Alpha of the NightSky pack and my mom is the Luna so naturally I have some Alpha blood in me. Anywho, this is how my lovely day started.

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

"Ugh! Shut up!" I said as I slammed my hand down on my annoying alarm clock. Muttering curse words at the poor clock, I got up and headed to my bathroom for a quick shower. After the shower I quickly pulled on some skinny jeans, a dark green shirt which made my eyes pop and wore my black converse.

"Honey hurry up! You're going to be late!"

"Damn! Coming mom!" I yelled back as I quickly applied some make up and ran downstairs. As soon as I stepped into the kitchen i was tackled into a hug.

"HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY SWEETIE!" My parents screamed.

"Thanks guys!" I chuckled

"My baby's growing up." Mom cried.

"Aww mom dont cry." I said while hugging her.

"Yea and she's going to find her mate." My dad grumbled.

I simply laughed and grabbed an apple on the way to the door. "Love you!"

"Love you too!"

I smiled and and got in my baby, my blue Mustang. I parked in my usual parking spot next to my bestfriend, Ally Williams. You're probably thinking Wait! Williams?? Yea Ally is Alex's sister but we both hate him with a passion.

"Hey girl! Happy birthday!" Ally screamed as she gave me a bone-crushing hug.

"Can't..... B-breathe...." I choked out.

"Sorry I'm just so excited and..." She rambled as she let me go but I stopped listening as I smelt the most amazing smell. It was like warm cookies straight out of an oven.

I frantically looked around trying to find where the delicious smell was coming from when I locked eyes with the one and only, Alex.

Alex's POV

My name is Alexander Williams, I have jet black hair, sapphire blue eyes, high cheekbones and a smirk that can make ladies swoon. I'm the soon to be Alpha of the BloodRedSword pack. My dad is the current Alpha and my mom is the current Luna. And I can become the Alpha as soon as I find my mate. You find your mate when you turn sixteen and sadly I've been searching for two months and still haven't found her.

"Earth to Alex!" My soon to be Beta and bestfriend Hunter screamed, stopping my train of thought.

"Sorry just thinking about finding my mate." I said while scratching my neck embarassingly.

"How about we go to Drake's party to get your mind off it? I hear he throws amazing parties and..." I stopped listening after that as I smelt something that made my wolf, Ryder go insane. It smelt like roses, vanilla and cinnamon.

"MATE!" My wolf, Ryder screamed as I locked eyes with my ex bestfriend, Claire Ace. I felt like tangling my fingers into her lush, shiny blonde hair and mating her right here. However my dirty trail of thought stopped when I saw fear in her beautiful emerald eyes and her angelic face etched with sadness. My heart clenched at the thought of her sad and she did the one thing that shocked me and the entire school who was watching.

She ran.

Claire's POV

I shifted into my rare pure white wolf, Britt, and ran into the woods near our school. I hadn't gotten far till I heard thundering paws running after me. I didn't even have to turn to know it was Alex.

I ran and ran till I thought I lost him and shifted back near a stream. I splashed my face with the cold water and cried. Why me? After all he did how can he be my mate?!

I heard a twig snap behind me and quickly turned to see Alex muttering curses at the twig.

"Why did you run away from me?" He asked with his eyes filled with sadness and hurt.

"You really need to ask me that?! You left me for popularity and you never even acknowledged my presence! You have to make me fall in love with you and show me that you're the same boy who I used to be bestfriends with if you want me. Untill then stay away from me."
