I stayed there a while. I wasn't ready to leave Zack, Carlie, or my dad, even though he made me pretty mad. I sighed when I sat up and looked around my room. I had to pack it all up, and in two weeks. I got to my feet and walked out immediately looking at my mom.
"Can I have some boxes?" I went over to her. She nodded and motioned for me to follow her. We went out to the garage and she got me a pile of boxes.
"Here sweetheart." She leaned in next to me. "Listen, I know this is hard, but we can make it through." She whispered as she patted my shoulder and walked off. I slumped forward and headed back to my room avoiding contact with my dad.
When I got in, I dropped the boxes on the floor and looked around.
"Where to start?" I glanced around until I decided to start with my bookshelves. They were small and had lots of nik-naks on them. I took a box and headed over. I plopped down to start packing. When I was done, I checked my phone. Logan had texted me.
"Great." I tapped the text that read, "Hey. Sorry about what happened. I really love you and would love to get together with you. I heard you were moving to Germany, so j thought I should take the short amount of time to ask you to be mine again. Please baby?"
"Oh Logan. When will you learn?" I responded, "No Logan. I never loved you and I never will. Anyways, even if I did, im going to GERMANY!!! No. NEVER!!!" I put my phone down then the door bell rang. I ran to the door to see Carlie. She looked worried. I opened the door and she wrapped me in a hug.
"Carlie? What's wrong?" She looked at me with sad eyes.
"Zack told me everything. I'm so sorry." She said wrapping me up again. This time I went along with it, my eyes filling with tears. She rubbed my back to comfort me.
"I don't want to lose him!!" I balled. She hugged me tighter and nodded.
"I know. Don't worry, it'll be fine." She said taking one arm off leaving the other around me. She walked me to the living room and sat me down.
"You won't lose him. And I promise you won't lose me." She said grinning a bit. "Plus, you have to come back for college. I mean all the schools you wan to go to are here." She said trying to cheer me up. I nodded trying to smile, but failing miserably.
"Carlie?" I said looking at her.
"Yea?" She looked at me un wrapping me.
"He's the one. He's perfect. I can't lose him" I said as sternly I could while crying. All of a sudden Zack came from around the corner. I got up and ran to him throwing my arms around him. I buried my face in his shoulder as I pulled him down by the neck. He wrapped his arms around my waist.
"I can't lose you either. We're meant to be together. Nothing will tear us apart." Be said into my hair. I looked up at his big brown eyes and pulled his lips to mine.
"Does this count as a proposal?" He said pulling away. I chuckled.
"Nope. I want a proper one. You get down on one knee if you want me that badly." I said pulling him back.
"Oh, I do. But another day, just can you stay in Seattle a little longer?" He said against my lips.
"I wish." I mumbled be fore pushing him away. He smirked and slung his arm around me.
"Want ice cream?" He said with a smirk.
"Uh... yea!! Who do you think you're talking to?" I said. He laughed and squeezed my waist.
"Wait for me!!" Carlie yelped a few feet back.
"Then hurry up?" I screamed over my shoulder at her. She gave me a glare before rushing over to me.
"I call driving!!!" I exclaimed spinning the keys on my finger.
"Okay missy, just don't get us killed." Zack said as he slid in the passenger seat.
"Just for that, I might just do it for fun." I smirked in his direction as he smirked back. Carlie had gotten in the back and looked directly at her phone. I started the engine and began to back out. When j looked back, Carlie was smiling ear to ear. That smile was also the smile I had when I first started dating Zack.
"Carlie, who's the boy?" I said as we turned on the main road. Both Carlie and Zack turned to look me. Zack had a confused expression and Carlie had a shocked one.
"Wha what do you mean?" She stuttered as she put her phone down turning to look out the window to hide her now embarrassed face.
"You know what I mean. That smile you had on your face. It's the same smile I had when I first starting dating Zack." I could feel Zack's face staring at me. I refused to turn to look at him, just keep my eyes on the road. I looked in the rear view mirror to see that smile again. "There!! The smile!!" I screamed. Zack turned in his seat and nodded in agreement.
"Yep. Who is he?" He studied her as she started at him.
"Okay, fine I'll tell." She said. She twiddled her thumbs. "His name is Kyle and he is two years older than me." She said with a grin.
"And where did y'all meet?" I asked. She rolled her eyes at me.
"We met at a park. One month ago." She said smiling once again. "He's meeting us at the ice cream shop. I was going to introduce y'all." She finished.
"ONE MONTH AGO!!!! It's been one month?!?! I told you about Zack one week later!!!" I exclaimed. She winced and Zack looked at me shocked.
"May, calm down. It's her relationship, not yours." He said calmy stroking my arm. He turned back to Carlie. "I cant wait to meet him." She gave him a mere smile before he turned to look back at the road.
"Logan texted me after you left this morning." I blurt out. Zack looked at me.
"What did he say?" Zack stared at me making me slightly uncomfortable.
"He said he was sorry for what happened. He also said he wanted to get back together with me." I explained. Zack chuckled.
"Did you ever go out with him?" He murmured. I turned to him.
"ARE YOU CRAZY?!?! OF COURSE NOT!!!" I exclaimed.
"YEA!!! ZACK, YOU MUST HAVE BEEN HIT IN THE HEAD TO THINK THAT!!" Carlie joined me. He held his hands up in defense.
"Sorry, just making sure." He said slumping in his seat. The rest of the ride was pretty boring.
When we arrived, Kyle was already there. Carlie leaped out of the car and ran up to him, hugging him. He hugged her back, kissing her on the cheek. He wrapped his arm around her waist.
"May, this is Kyle, my boyfriend. Kyle, this is Maya, my best friend." She said motioning to me. I got out from Zack's grip to shake his hand.
"Great to meet you. Carlie has told me so much about you." He said shaking my hand. I backed back to Zack as he intertwined my fingers with his.
"And this is Mays's boyfriend, Zack." Kyle waved and Zack waved back. Carlie and I exchanged expressions before leading both of our boyfriends into the shop.
