"CUT!" Linda shouted from her spot on the sidelines. "BOYS GET OVER HERE NOW!"

Kevin walked over to her, Nickolas stumbling close behind. He had a hand over his left eye that was starting to swell. The days shoot was volleyball. What started as a simple game of toss and pose, turned into a heated one on one between both models. Both spiking the ball so hard that the end result was Kevin spiking the ball straight into the pretty blondes face. Now he had to face Linda, and that was his least favorite thing to do.

Linda rushed over to examine Nicks swelling eye. Kevin stood quietly, smirking to himself.

"Ok, we are going to need to put ice on this ASAP!" Linda ordered, then turning to glare at the quiet redhead. "And you! Kevin what the hell were you thinking? Both of you are models! Aside from your bodies, your faces are a huge asset to your look. What do you have to say for yourself?"

"His face was in the way," The redhead smugly replied.

Just as Linda was about to snap, Edd and Alex walked in with refreshments in hand. They were confused to see the shoot was already over, considering only an hour had passed. Approaching the others, Alex was the first to notice Nickolas sitting on a bench with a bruised eye.

"Oh dear, Lord Brooks your eye! What on earth happened?" He asked generally concerned.

"Seems Mr. Bar can't take a challenge without getting to over competitive," was the blondes reply.

"Kevin?"

It was Edd who had spoken then, and Kevin couldn't bring himself to look him in the eye. Since the day Edd confessed to him, which was a week ago, Kevin hasn't been able to act the same around him.

~flashback to a week ago~

"Kevin, how do you feel about me?"

At that moment Kevin seemed to forget how to breath. He just sat there trying to think of something, ANYTHING, but nothing came out. He just stared at the brunette who was suddenly very interested in every detail of the floor.

"Kevin, I...think I like you." Edd continued nervously. "It's a little hard to explain, but from the day we met there was something... different about you."

Kevin listened quietly, but he swore the brunette could hear his heart trying to escape his chest. Edd had just confessed to him. The cute sockhead that haunts his dreams at night, and clouds his mind during the day, just confessed to him. So, why wasn't he happy?

"Edd I..." Kevin couldn't find the right words to finish.

The brunette could see the battle going on inside Kevin, so he nodded and refolded the acceptance letter back into the envelope.

"You don't have to answer right now Kevin. I just wanted you to know." He said as he stood. "I should get going. I might be able to save my perfect attendance if I hurry back."

Kevin cursed at himself and just nods tightly, with that the brunette left.

~end of flashback~

Since then, they haven't really spoken. It wasn't that they were avoiding each other, I mean they are in the same class and worked together. It's just that Kevin still didn't have an answer, and he hated himself for it.

"I believe I should take Lord Brooks home for the day. He clearly can not go on with the shoot and must get that eye checked." Alex suggested suddenly.

"While I admire your trying to help Alex, Eddward is Nickolas's assistant. He should be the one to take him home." Linda said, eyes never once leaving the two boys who stood quietly.
