your pov
Once you and the group of 5 arrived at the music room, Thomas urged you to play something obviously excited to hear you play. The other 4 seemed to be waiting to see what exactly you had in stored. With a small sigh you picked up the guitar that was inside the room and began to play it. You didn't sing though. There were lyrics that went with the song but you just played. You looked up every so often just to see the reactions of your audience. They seemed to like it.
By the end of the song the entire group was clapping except for the dark skinned girl who looked to be a leader. She smiled slightly as she spoke.
"Name is Hazel. Hazel Nutting. Sorry if our earlier approach was... unsettling. We didn't mean to seem threatening."
"It's cool... So what is it that you need?"
"In the video we saw your eyes weren't e/c... They were... Red. Sometimes we won't remember anything we did for the last week or so and others will say we were acting strange.. As if we were an entirely different person." Hazel responded, shaking her head slightly as she crossed her arms. "We were often told our eyes were red. You wouldn't happen to know anything to shed some light, do you?"
Out of pure instinct you responded with a small no, acting as clueless as they were. You wanted to help but you didn't want to get into any kind of trouble. Everyone seemed to buy your little lie except for another male who's name you didn't know. His eyes were narrow and had a small glint of yellow in them. Long shaggy brown hair with a flannel, white shirt underneath, faded jeans and brown boots.
"She's lying." His voice had a country accent dipped with American pride. "You know something and you don't wanna tell us for some reason." Right then and there the bell rang, causing you to quickly stand up.
"I'm sorry but I don't know anything. I have to go now." With those words you quickly left the music room, heading towards your next class.
~time skip brought to you by Dustberry~
"And the kid from the country accused you of lying?" Sans asked again for the third time. Once again you nodded in response to his question.
"Then I left as soon as the bell rang. Would you like for me to tell you the entire story a fourth time?" You asked as you looked up at Sans.
"Do you know there names?"
"No." You lied through your teeth, not wanting Sans to start some kind fight. "Don't worry about them. I don't think they'll-"
"Wait a minute, what were you doing in the music room in the first place?" You mentally slapped yourself once realizing your mistake. After a small argument, you bided Sans farewell and arrived home. You tended to your home duties and at last you were released from the unearthly bounds of chores. But sadly you had no plans or intentions of leaving the safety of your haven. So there you stayed to waste away. Until you got a text from Sans. You sighed as you read it. 'I found the brats.'
Hazel's pov
I paced back and forth in the old abandoned warehouse we decided to take refuge in until we started moving again. Anxiety crawled up my back along with the sunlight that leaked from the torn open ceiling. Word was spreading quickly and if I let people see my face then we're dead. Deader than dead. I can't let them ruin everything we worked up to. Not again.
"Hazel maybe you should sit. Thomas went to get you some meds and Burn is keeping watch of the place." Nell said as she patted the spot next to her. I sighed as I shook my head. Her green eyes softened as she shun me a innocent smile. "I know you're scared and that's okay.." I honestly hated to look at her. Her short brown hair and smile continued to threaten me at night and I hated it.
"You know what I just realized?" Thomas said as he walked in unnoticed. "We're kinda like the Outsiders crew. A bunch of misfits trying to fight against the world. Like Hazel is Johnny, Burn is Dallas, Nell is Two-Bit, I playing as Sodapop, and-"
"Oh no, don't drag me into your fantasies." Kobe threatened, venom dripping from his words. It only caused Thomas to laugh. I swear, someone could threaten to kill his entire and he'd just laugh it off. That was a horrible example, I should never think that... After all, there's a reason why he's the most free spirited of us all.
"Kobe Kobe Kobe, why so salty?" He asked childishly as he patted the top of Kobe's head. Kobe quickly stood up, towering over Thomas threateningly as he grabbed his shoulder. He then pushed Thomas down, forcing him to sit.
"Thomas Thomas Thomas, why so short?!" He yelled. I tried to not burst out laughing, knowing very well they'll come after me next if I do. Thomas sticked up his middle fingers at him.
"That's not what your mom said last night!!!" Thomas retorted. Kobe was about to speak only to stiffen as he stared behind Thomas. I cocked my head to the side slightly as I turned to see what he was staring at. It was the kid. The one that got beaten in that video. I was about to walk over to him only to have fear paralyze me. Red eyes. Burn. Burn was suppose to keep watch, how did he get in? My breathing started to quicken as wild thoughts flashed in front of me, including memories."What are you doing here?" Nell spoke up as she stood up, recognizing my situation. Kobe and Thomas straitened up as well.
"Why are you hiding here in the first place? And why are you threatening y/n?" He asked. Then I finally noticed the phone in his hand. We're so dead.
