Reio awoke in a different place than where she fell asleep. She was in Sam's bed, alone and still naked. It was dark outside now, she must have been sleeping for longer than she thought.

She stood and wrapped herself in a blanket before walking out into the hallway. There weren't any lights on anywhere so she had to keep a hand on the wall to know where she was going.

She found Sam sitting on the pillows on the balcony. He didn't move when she walked up and sat down next to him.

"What are you doing out here by yourself?" Reio asked, resting her head in his shoulder.

Sam took her hand in his, squeezing gently. "I couldn't sleep. And I didn't want to wake you."

"You having nightmares again?" He usually didn't have those when she was around.

"Those I can handle," Sam sighed. "it's this possible fatherhood thing I'm struggling with."

Reio understood what he was feeling. She wasn't ready to be a mother, but the universe deemed her to have a child regardless. It was going to be hard and she was going to want to scream regularly, but she would survive.

Reio turned Sam's face so she could kiss him. "You'll make a great dad."

Sam half smiled, looking down towards her stomach. "Glad someone thinks so. I don't know how someone who's barely got their shit together can raise a kid without messing it up. What if I get mad and lose control?"

Reio made him look her in the eyes. "You listen here Sam Jessi. This kid is going to love you no matter what. You're going to be a kick ass dad!"

Sam throws his head back and laughs. "You have such high hopes for me. I feel like I'm going to get flogged if I fuck up."

Reio winked before cracking an invisible whip over his head. "You better believe it! I might turn into one of those ass kicking moms."

Sam's smile faltered a bit. "And if it's Rhint's?"

Reio didn't hesitate. She pulled Sam against her, wrapping the blanket around him. She could feel his hands slide around her, the tips of his thumbs brushing the underside of her breasts.

"Then he'll get the kid on weekends."

Sam's eyes were hopeful, but he kept his expressions neutral. Reio couldn't hold back her grin. He looked so cute. Neither of them said another word. They just stayed wrapped in each other's arms under the stars.

They decided to hide out at his place for a little while, both working up the courage to stand in front of Reio's brothers and share their decision with them. No one pressured them into returning sooner, just let them be.

After three days of lounging around the house, they decided to bite the bullet. Reio decided to be brave and do all the talking. When they entered the house, Diego, Warren, and Remy were all sitting at the kitchen table. They must have been expecting them.

"So," Reio started before she could chicken out. "How much do you know already?"

"We have our guesses." Warren answered, his voice even.

Diego didn't say anything, but he looked relaxed. Remy gave her a soft smile. Sam stayed behind her, close enough that she knew he was there but not touching. Reio took a deep breath. It was now or never.

"I'm pregnant and I don't know who the father is. Remy ran a blood test and we won't know for about three more days. I'm sorry I've been immature and hiding from you both."

No one spoke for a while, making Reio fidget. She was hoping that they wouldn't be too upset with her. She hated when her brothers were angry.

Finally, Diego broke the silence. He stood and walked over to face Reio, putting his hands on her shoulders. "If it's a boy, you gonna name it after me?"
