Phillip's Anger

Phillip frustratedly walked away from the school. He huffed and his cheeks turned a slight shade of pink. His eyes darkened. He was angry.

"Elaina! Gahd! This isn't the first time you've stood me up,but at least all the other times you gave me an excuse!" He mumbled under his breath as he continued down his path. he was about to turn the corner to go down his street when his thought were interrupted by the people he despised most.

"Pretty boii!!!!!" is was Peter. He didn't even have to turn around to know that it was him.

"Hey ,fag, he's talking to you. You gon' turn 'round?"And that was Marshall. Marshall wasn't really asking he was more telling Phillip.

"If I wanted to talk to you or turn around and face you I would. Got it..fag?" before Phillip knew it the words slipped out of his mouth. he shut his eyes because he knew that he shouldn't have said that to them.

"Woah woah! Hey now. Don't a couple of guys get respect here?" Peter and Marshall laughed at Peter's remark. Phillip turned around to apologize

"I'm s-..." but he was interrupted as Peter's fist slammed into Peter's jaw. Phillip fell to the ground as he let out a loud yelp. The two laughed and bent down.

"Let us make this quite clear and quick. if you EVER say anything rude to is or better yet, if you speak without our permission.."they chuckled,"me and Marshall,here, will smash your face in. Got it? mkay." Peter got up with a smile on his face as he popped a piece of gum his mouth. Marshall winked and put a wicked smile on his face as got up and joined peter in walking away. Leaving Phillip laying in the ground clutching his jaw with tears threatening to spill from his eyes.

Why? why Phillip... did you have to say something?! Gosh. Was I stupid or what? So now I'm left with my best friend probably as at me, and my jaw feels like it's shattered into pieces. and the best partis that I've got Marshall and Peter on my tail.

I decided to go to Lucky's,our towns drugstore. There was no way I could go home with a black,blue, and purple jaw that was swollen. My parents may not notice the swollenness, but it'd be kind of hard to not notice the discoloration.

I walked into Lucky's and saw the girl at the cashier gasp as she saw my face. She couldn't be much younger than me. My guess would be two years younger than me, which puts her around 15. I walk around trying to find some aspirin, hoping it'll make he swelling go down. Cussing under my breath because I couldn't find the aisle. I slowly walk back to the front to see the girl looking at the magazine. As soon as she saw me she put down the magazine and asked me the question I knew she'd be thinking.

"What happened to your face?"

She said it so casually yet it seemed as if she was generally concerned.

"Oh. Haha. Uhmm... nothing. i... yeah. I'm fine, but thanks for asking."

She didn't look convinced, it she gladly didn't press on.

"Well can I help you with something?"

"Oh! Right. Actually, I was wondering if you could help me find some stuff to make this look like it's gone?" I said for only her to hear. I don't know why because she and I were the only ones in the store. She smile and stuck out her hand and said,

"Of course! I'm Kate."

I smiled back and said,

"Thanks. Hey, and I'm Phillip."

"Ok, so follow me" she said as she slid over the counter. I laughed at her energy.

"So how old are you? Are you even old enough for a job?" she looked as if my question offended her, but it quickly was replaced by a face that was giggling. It was a contagious laugh. When she started laughing I couldn't help but laugh with her. When she got herself to stop laughing and got herself together she lifted her hand to tuck a piece of hair behind her ear. only for it to fall back out of place.

"I'm 15. The only reason I have this job is because no one else was willing to take this job. Night-shift ya know?"

"Yeah." it was all I could say. I didn't know what else to say. She went to tuck the same piece of hair away when her sleeved rolled up to reveal an unbelievable thing. Especially at her age.
