Ethans pov

I sit there patiently waiting.

I didn't think they were going to wake.

I look away and hide my face in the the one hand i have remaining.

I jump up in shock as i feel something squeeze tighter on my hand, i shot my head round and I'm faced with Liv eye to eye, shes awake and I've never been so happy.

I engulfed her into a hug but being careful and trying to dodge all her bad bones and bruises.

Now all we can do is wait, wait for Mason to open his eyes.

"I hope he wakes" whispers Olivia.
"Me to baby" i say leaving a soft kiss in her forehead.

"D-dady, mommy" i look over to see our baby boy awake his bright blue eyes lit up the world once again, his pale face all wired up but nothing stopped his eyes from being bright.

Finally a family hug that I've been desperate for.
A hug like no other it felt amazing for them to be physically hugging me back.

My life is back, back to normal and a lot brighter.

"You guys can all leave together as a family again next week, we need to keep them in to make sure there healthy enough" the nurse says.

I nod my head and say my goodbyes for the last time in hospital and id be saying my first hello next week the day they leave.

I kiss them both and pull them into a hug

"Goodbye sweet" liv says.
"Bye bye daddy" Mason says.

I wave before heading home.
