Y/N's P.O.V
I walked down the hard, cold street ally getting to my dorm. I came back from the library, my new job. I can start tomorrow. It has been 1 hour since I sent Lafayette and the rest home. My eyes were slightly closed as I walked to my doorstep.
When I opened the door I saw that everyone already was sleeping in the living room on the mattresses, blankets, and pillows I had bought for them. I couldn't help but smile at the silence.
This time I wouldn't wake them up so I could study without them disturbing me. I walked over all the mattresses and felt the success sink in when I reached my door. I took a step into my room after I closed the door.
Then the heavens and hell decided to send me another f*cking guy. Because like...WHY NOT! He landed on my back. I fell down with the guy still on top of me.
"Where am I..." I heard him mumble to himself. "Afterlife," I mumbled with no tone as I ate the dust off the floor. He realized that he was on top of me and got off.
"It looks a bit different then I would have expected it..."He mumbled spaced out. "Name please," I asked as I lifted myself off the floor. "Oh, of course, Philip Hamilton." He told me as he reached out his hand to me. The darkness in my room hid his face like a blanket."No," I chocked out. "Eum...Yes...?"He stated and raised an eyebrow. "No." I sobbed on the verge of tears. "Is something wrong?" He asked.
"Great, now I have a player in the house," I grunted and fell on the ground. "Hey, hey, get up, hey, hey..." He started to tap on the back of my head.
"Can I die and go to the afterlife Lord?" I asked at the ceiling. He helped me up and sat me down on a chair. "I'll get you a glass of water, stay there." He told me like one would tell a child and ran to my fridge. He opened it and was hit with the cold air. "Is this a door?" He asked with stars in his eyes.
"No, the water is in there," I stated and pointed to the water bottle. He grabbed it and searched for a glass. "There," I assisted and pointed to the cabinet with the glasses. He grabbed one and poured the water in and gave it to me.
I just looked at it as he looked at me with expecting eyes.
"I didn't ask for water," I complained a second later.
"You look pale, I think it would be better if you stopped complaining and drink up." He argued back and sat down next to me with his eyes fixed on me. I looked back at my glass and stood up.
"What's the last thing you remember?" I asked as he frowned. "The battle with me and George Eaker, I shot up, I got shot and all of the sudden my father and mother were beside me, that's all." He answered.
I pressed my lips against each other.
"Are you crying?" He asked as he tilted his head to the side.
"NO! ...N-No, I'm not." I chocked in tears. He stood up and gave me a hug.
I broke down in tears and hugged him back. The thought that I was an orphan was nothing compared by losing your parents or your child when you can remember them.But...Then the thought hit me... Alexander was still joking and alright, even though his son died before he did. And what do I do? Lock myself away from everyone and everything.
My heart hurt and I couldn't breathe that well. Sadness was my next emotion, which was no surprise, I've held these emotions in for so long.
"I am sorry..." I manage to say. He seemed a bit confused at it. "I am so, so sorry." I cry out. "I-it's okay." He cooed to calm me down. "Do you want to see your father?"I asked after a while.
"W-Wait h-he's here?" He asked. I pulled away from the hug, bit on my lip and nodded yes. "Where is he?!" He asked as he held my shoulders."Follow me."
We walked into the living room and I took off one of my shoes. I threw it on Alexander who shot up from his sleep and looked confused. "What?!" He asked annoyed and looked at me. Philip jumped on his dad and gave him a hug. "Dad, I've missed you so much..."He chocked. "Ph-Philip?" He asked in tears.I bit down on my lips to keep myself from crying myself. Instead of crying, I smiled with tears in my eyes. "Son, never ever listen to me ever again." He sternly told him and hugged his son back.
After they cried and hugged for 15 minutes they let go and Alexander looked up at me from his position in his bed.
"Are you crying Y/N? and smiling?" He asked with a wide grin. "Nooooooyes..."I sighed. He smiled at me and motioned to sit next to him. I rolled my eyes but sat next to him and Philip. Alexander put a hand on my shoulder and smiled "It's okay to cry, don't be so ashamed of it." He told me like a father would tell his children."Is Y/N her name pa?" Philip asked his father. "Yes, Y/N L/N she took us in and cares for us since we came here, we are trying to get her emotions back to her, she is kinda a lost soul." He said to him. "We found out three emotions thus far: Care, Sympathy, and anger." He explained as I shook my head.
"No, you've found out way more than that," I denied. They looked confused. "Hm?" He asked. I walked to my room and grabbed a notebook and drew something down.
"Look at this:"
"What is that?" Philip asked. "the wheel of emotions or Roda Emosi Plutchik." I answered."On this wheel you can see all the emotions a human can have;" I continued, "Care and sympathy are not on this wheel but you can tie it to other emotions. Keep it, you can keep track of progress." I stated and gave it to Alexander.
He nodded and tugged it away in his leather jacket. "Pops...What are you wearing?" Philip asked with a little chuckle. "This is what they wear in this time," Alexander answered. "Wait! When are we?" Philip asked. "2017," I answered.
"How?!" He asked. "Don't question it," Alexander smirked as he tapped on Philip's head. "Well, I'm gonna study so-"
"No missy, you're sleeping tonight," Alexander implied as I tried to sneak away.
"But-" "No butts except yours in your bed," Alexander continued. "B-" "A no, is a no." He told me in a serious tone. "F-Fine!" I spat and tried to stand up. "Hey Y/N, where do I sleep?" Philip asked and tugged on my sleeve. "...With your father." I stated. "No, I had to do that once and he pushed me off the bed," Philip whined in a begging manner.
"And he snores!" He added. "I. Do. Not!" Alexander stated as Philip blinked. "Ask mom," Philip smirked. "SHUDDAP!" Alexander whined.
"...On the floor." I suggested. "My son is not sleeping on the floor," Alexander butted in.
I sighed and tried to come up with something. "Fine! Just sleep next to me." I gave in and stood up to go to my room. I jumped in my bed, clothes still on and went to sleep. After a few moments, I felt Philip laying beside me with a fairly big distance.
...Silence...
"Hey Y/N." I heard. I knew this was too good to be true.
"Yes, Philip?" I asked and turned around to face him. "Why is ma not here?" He asked.
"...I have no idea, Philip. Maybe, just maybe she'll come over time." I smiled to make him feel better. "Hmm." He hummed at the answer and went silent again. It was Monday today, it was going to be Tuesday tomorrow, my job as a librarian was starting right after school...So...I'll have to leave the boys at the library tomorrow...'That poor librarian that's going to work there at the day shift won't know what they're gonna go through tomorrow...'I thought with a grin and fell asleep at 12 a clock.
