29. A Bed of Flowers (Vs. Mother Beast Lusamine Part 2)

Narrator POV

Last we met with out heroes, Luma and Lillie had confronted Lusamine within the far reaches of Ultra Space. It was a tremendous battle, which had nearly met its' end.

Luma was at her wit's end... her back against the wall... she was near defeated. All she had at her disposal was her Primarina... and her condition wasn't really at her finest... she was breathing heavily, and her body covered in scrapes and bruises.

"*huff* *huff*This is... quite the challenge... even after I beat her..."

Lusamine raised one of her tentacle like limbs towards Luma, and was prepared to put her out of her misery.

"DIE YOU HATEFUL LITTLE TRAINER!!"

Luma flinched as the approaching strike had about to reach impact... closing her eyes shut and sending her prayers toward her mother and brother.

"...!"

But as the scene was playing out, a loud squeal was heard. But it wasn't from Luma... rather, it was from Lusamine, whom was screaming in pain. She turned to see the Legendary Pokémon facing her, along with Lillie.

"Please... H-Help us, Lunala!"  

Lunala complied and readied yet another attack from its very being.

"Attack once more with Moongeist Beam!"

"Mahina- pea!"

A beam of starry blue had blasted from within Lunala and hit Lusamine once more. This time, sending her towards a wall of weirdly formed structures within Ultra Space. When Lusamine tried to float back up and rebuttal against Lunala, bursts of purple light had cracked open from within the fusion, and thus, allowed the two to finally split when the beams had engulfed the thing, and allowed the familiar forms of Lusamine and the Nihilego that took control to be set free, but only for Lusamine to fall onto her back and onto the cold cemented ground.

"Mother!" Lillie ran toward Lusamine and reached toward her. Lusamine was still alive... but barely held on.

Her eyes seemed heavy... she was pale and fragile. Far from her regular state and the way she was before.

"Lillie... heh..."

Lusamine reached her hand toward Lillie and had caressed her cheek softly, taking in the various changes and alterations she had undergone in the past couple of months.

"When did you start becoming... beautiful..."

She finally allowed her eyes to lid shut, and her body to rest. She was still breathing... but was still in poor condition.

"We'll need to get out of here... and I mean no-"

Before Luma could finish her statement, the ground and area around them started trembling. Guzma joined them shorty after with fear in his eyes and the Nihilego hissed and screeched as they saw their fellow companion fall in defeat.

"What now?! What's going on?! And just when things were getting good!"
Guzma shouted.

"It's the beasts! They're not too happy to see their pal getting knocked down!"

"There's so many Nihilego! What do we do?! Mother isn't waking up!" Lillie shouted.

"Mahina-pea-ah-ah!"
