"Pizzas here!" I hear Jack tell from downstairs.
Slowly I pull myself up from my purple bean bag chair, grunting as I do so.
"Wow Dana, so graceful.."
I put my phone down on my nightstand and start towards the dining room. As I do so my feet drag across my bright neon rug, the one everyone who came to our house absolutely hated.
As I make my way into the dining room I see Jack, who just so happens to be in his pajamas.
"You know most people put on clothes before coming to dinner."
"As a wise man once said, fuck it."
His humor always made me laugh, it was his carefree nature that so attracted me to him in the first place. It was the thing that attracted me to him now.
"Wanna watch a movie while we eat?" I ask, wanting to make the most of my time with him.
"Sure, anything you had in mind?"
"You know what I want to watch." I say jokingly.
"We are not watching fucking Clueless again."
I loved that about him, he knew everything about me, but he still could t notice the feelings I had for him.
"Legally Blonde?" I suggest, knowing how much he loathes it. That was another thing about our friendship, we knew everything about each other, including what pisses each other off.
"Only if we watch The Matrix after."
I let out a sigh of defeat. "I don't know how you can watch that."
"And I don't know how you can sit through Heathers."
We stay for a second in our standoff before laughing again. Today just seemed like one of those days were everything seemed funny, when everything in our friendship just clicked. But that was the thing, it was a friendship.
"I think there is only one movie we can produce in this situation." He says with a fake pretentious voice.
"What?" I say with a smile,
"Princess Bride."
"You know me so well."
"Oh and one more thing." Jack quickly adds before me plop onto our sofa.
"What?"
"I had this idea for our next collab. Remember Casey McFaren?"
"The beauty vlogger with the wonky ass teeth?"
"Yeah thats her!" He says while laughing. "She did this thing were she read and reenacted fan fiction. I thought it would funny since theres so much of it out there."
I feel myself freeze, reenactment? What if I gave away I like him, everything would be ruined I-
"Hey Dana, you okay?"
"What?" I ask confused.
"You just were making a weird face."
"Oh nothing." I reply. "I'm probably just a little tired."
"Lets just watch the movie then."
"That sounds great." I say a tad to loud, but I don't think he minds.
As the opening music starts playing, I can't help but feel conflicted. This whole fanfic thing sounds like a terrible idea, but what if when he reads it, he realizes he has feelings for me too?
