2.Girls Just Want To Have Fun

Aqualad's pov

When we arrived back at the cave batman was already there waiting for us.

"How didn't you know our plan when we were talking to you" kid flash asked the girl.

The whole way back she had been asked question after question about her power but she didn't seem to mind which is good.

"I respect people's privacy and don't delve any deeper than i need to, so i usually only hear what they are thinking at the moment in time" the girl answered

We all walked up to batman. "Ash, i see they brought you here with no trouble" batman said

"Your names ash?" Robin said turning to her

Ash nodded to robin "yup, but how did you know that?" She asked batman

"I'm batman" he said slowly

"Can't argue with that" she muttered and i saw batman raise his eyebrow

"Miss martian can show you where your room is" he said to ash

Miss martian smiled "yup follow me" she said the rest of us watched them go

"The rest of you can take a brake" he said we nodded and headed towards the living room. I was about to follow everyone else when batman called me

"Aqualad i want you to keep an eye on ash for me just to see how she get on" he said

I nodded "I'll be helping the rest of the team train her so she should be ok"

Batman nodded slowly "still just keep an eye out" he said then walked away

I rasied an eyebrow but shrugged and went to where everyone else was.

I flopped down on the couch

"You ok kaldur?" Wally asked

I nodded "yea just Batman's acting wired like he knows something and won't tell us"

Robin sighed "it wouldn't be the first time, what do you think he's keeping?"

"Something about ash, i bet" zatanna said folding her arms

"It does seem logical" i replied

"Maybe we should do some digging to find out" Artemis said tapping her foot.

The conversation was interrupted by a loud laugh from someone walking towards them

"you're​ joking that actually happened!" A voice which belonged to miss martian or Megan exclaimed.

"Some girls just want to have fun" ash's voice replied with a slight laugh.

"No kidding" Megan said laughing as they entered the room.

Everyone's head turned to them Megan smiled and sat down. ash shuffled feeling uncomfortable with everyone looking she plonked herself down next to Megan

"How'd you like the tour?" Zatanna asked ash

Ash smiled slightly "it was good, this is a big place" she said twiddling her fingers

Connor nodded "you'll like it here" he said

"I hope so" ash mumbled "you said something about training earlier?" She looked at me.

I nodded the league thinks that if you trained "you could have control" i said slowly

"But i have control" ash said frowning her eyes glowing violently

"Batman doesn't seem to think so" i sighed shrugging

"Control over what?" Zatanna asked ash confused

"They probably mean control over this..." Ash said opening her palm out where a small flame danced flickering gently.

Megan shrunk away from the flame and i must admit seeing it made me feel very uncomfortable.

Connor put his hand on Megan's shoulder comfortingly and she relaxed slightly.

Ash closed her hand and the flame was extinguished

"Why do you have so many powers?" Wally said

Ash shrugged "beats me, but it probably has something to do with cadmus i used to have only the fire power but now I'm not even sure what i can do" she squeezed her knees together nervous

"I don't see what the league are afraid of she seems fine to me" Artemis said

Ash smiled gratefully at her

"Still the league always know something else" robin added scratching his chin while he thought

"We need to find out" wally declared

"And i think i know how" robin smirked
