you were walking to the cafe when you suddenly saw a cute and tall guy buying some street food from your favourite stall with difficulties in speaking to the grandma.

"oh y/n-ah, can you help me over here?" the grandma called out and you slightly chuckle.

"excuse me i uh.." the guy beside you spoke in broken korean.

"can you speak english?" you asked him.

"oh thank god you speak english.." he said awkwardly, "i want to buy these spicy rice cakes and the kimbaps but how do you call to separate them into halves in korean?" he explained in fluent english.

"oh let me tell her." you said and translated for the grandma to understand.

the grandma understood and wrapped the food in a plastic and handed them to the guy. the guy paid and thanked the grandma.

"uh, thanks for helping me.. i owe you a lot. how about a drink sometime, my treat?" he asked shyly.

you slightly laughed at his cuteness and nodded, "sure!"

"..your number?" he asked and avoided your eyes because he was too shy.

"here you go. feel free to text me or call me. then i'll get going first, see you around!" you said while writing on a piece of paper then handed it to him and left.

"thanks! i'll see you soon!!" guanlin yelled when you were already far ahead. you turned back at him and waved goodbye. for the first time, you saw his really good looking smile.

little did you know, you'll be seeing him a lot soon.
