-Chapter 4-

*Maze on side*

I smiled up at Maze as his bright blue eyes smiled down at me, his blonde hair shaggy as it hung over his eye brows. 

                “You ready to meet my family?” I asked him. We had been dating for a year or so, and it was weird to say but he had never met my family yet, so today was the day.

                “Yes, I am and I can’t wait for them to except me.” He smiled down at me.

                “Oh, I know they will.” I smiled as I quickly kissed him. “I love you Maze.” I smiled at him.

                “I… Who’s that?” he asked me, I turned around and Saige came strolling in, her blond hair curled to perfection and she wore a black swim suit that hugged her close, and she wore short shorts showing off her long legs. She looked like a model, she looked amazing. I smiled at her and waved, she smiled back and waved right before she looked behind me. The look in her eyes scared me, I quickly turned to Maze and frowned when he didn’t look down at me.

                “Maze?” I asked, he reluctantly looked down at me. “That’s my sister,” I said pointing to her.

                “Saige,” Saige answered still looking at him. He pulled out of my grip and walked over to her. He put his hand out for her to shake and she gladly took it.

                “Maze,” he answered looking down at her. “Would you like to go on a date with me some time?” he asked her.

                “How about now, I mean if you are free.” She grinned and her eyes flashed towards me and then back to him.

                “No, no! I’m free lets go.” He told her.

                “Sure, let me go get a shirt and then we can go alright?” she smiled at him and then looked at me, a grin on her face. He nodded his head and watched as she ran inside the house. He then smiled at himself and then looked at me. His eyes softened and his smiled turned to a frown. “Kyla,” he whispered. Suddenly clouds formed around the sun blocking all light it gave us, it started pouring and I stood there not caring. Maze looked up and then at me. “Kyla… I…” he stumbled on his words. The rain poured down so hard it was hard to see in front of you. You could hear thunder in the distance as hate grew to my own twin, lightning filled the sky with light making Maze jump. Tears ran down my face yet you couldn’t tell, it was raining too much.

                “Maze! Come inside, it’s pouring rain!” I heard my sister yelled from inside, I could hear running footsteps and then a shutting of the door. I screamed out loud and a tree in front of our house burst into flames, but quickly got rained out, leaving damp yet burnt leaves on the ground under the tree.

I woke up with a scream and tears running down my face, I screamed in frustration and chucked my pillow at the wall, I threw my arms on my bed and screamed again in anger. I remember that day like it was yesterday, I remember the way I felt. The heart break that only continued after that day. The way she held him tight, the way he fell for her so quickly. How fast her left me confused me. I was so lost and hurt, from then on I vowed to not love anyone, or even like. I would be an in depended ruler just like Grim. I refused to like anyone.

I got out of bed and pushed my hands into my hair holding tight, pulling my hands into tight fists as I tugged on my hair. I walked up to the wall and slammed my fist into the wall as a hole showed after I pulled back. I tugged a piece of the wall back holding it into my hands, I growled as tears fell down my face. I crushed the piece of wall into my hands as I crumbled to the ground. I screamed a soft scream as I slammed my back up into the wall and slid down on my butt. I pulled my knees up to my chest and put my head on my knees letting the tears fall. A knock sounded at my door and I ignored it letting the tears fall.
