The cold wind bit at me cheeks and my hair whipped across my face. Mira and Makarov stood in front of the guild. I tried to hide it but I was stalling, I was waiting for Gray. I felt guilty for yelling at him but I knew I was too stubborn to apologize first. I sighed in defeat, he wasn't going to come and I had to leave.
"Well, the carriage is here, so I better get going," I said to Mira and Makarov. They nodded in response. I had said my goodbye to Makarov an hour ago but now it was Mira's turn.
"You will come back right?" Mira said tears filling her eyes. I nodded not trusting my voice. She hugged me and I wish she never would let go but she eventually did and this was my signal to leave. Turning away I began to fiddle with the charm bracelet that Mira and Gray had given to me. My reminder that they were still with me.
"Faye wait!". I turned and found myself facing an out of breath Gray.
"What do you want Gray?"
"I had to say goodbye...before you left...I mean I still want you to let me go with but I understand that you have to do it on your own.." Gray softly muttered. I smiled and hugged him.
"I do have to do this on my own, and I will come back" I muttered into his chest. After a last final goodbye, I made my way into the carriage. My quest was to find the only weapon that could kill and immortal protected by an old friend named Igneel.
The end of part one has come my children!
