Chapter 35- Like A Recovering Addîct

"It's not like that."
Napatingin ako sa may pintuan ng kuwarto ko nang pumasok si Henry. May kausap siya sa phone. Seryuso ang mukha at halos magdugtong na ang kilay sa pagkakasulubong. Nagpaalam na kukuha ng juice para sa akin. May dala nga siyang tall glass of orange juice pero halos kalahati na lang ang laman. I can't help but stare at his V-shaped tórso. Broad shoulders relative to hips. Lean stomach combined with a muscular upper tórso. I found it completely alluring and hard to resist. I could not look away. He was like a drug. The séx we had was great and I felt like I was falling in love with him all over again. Unfortunately, he doesn't feel the same way.

"While I think your suggestion could potentially benefit the project, I am confident that going with the design as is will yield much more positive results."
Rinig kong sabi niya sa kausap. Inabot muna niya sa akin ang basong hawak niya.
Mataman akong nakatitig sa guwapo niyang mukha habang patuloy siya pakikipag-usap sa phone niya. The way he talk, conveys an air of confidence.

"I understand what you're saying Ms. Chen. However, given all the time I have spent in the field and knowing what I do about it, I must say, personally, that I would let the design stand."
Aha, Ms. Chen pala. Knowing na babae ang kausap, mas nagkainteres akong makinig. Kahit yong side lang ni Acosta ang naririnig ko at least malalaman ko kung saan patutungo ang conversation niya sa Ms. Chen na yan.

"Look, I only want what's the best for the project. And from all of the satisfied clients I have worked with in the past, I have a very good feel for the market. So trust me when I say that this is your best way forward."

'Satisfied.' Ewan pero pagkarinig ko sa salitang yun. Iba ang pumapasok sa kukute. Ibang satisfaction yata ang ibinibigay ni Acosta sa mga client niyang babae. Shutangina, don't tell me na minamasahe niya ang mga boóbs nila na nauuwi sa...sa mahälay at maingay na eksena. Gusto kong ibuhos ang juice sa mukha niya habang pumapasok sa isip ko ang mga bagay na yun pero mukhang nabasa niya ang iniisip kong gawin kasi bigla niyang kinuha sa akin ang baso at uminom habang nakikinig sa kausap.

"That's a good idea, Cecilia. In fact, I considered something very similar to that before ending up with this solution, simply because this is a none solid means of achieving what you're asking for."
Cecilia? Wow. Kanina Ms. Chen, ngayon Cecilia na? At anong solusyon ang gusto niyang mangyari? To bed that woman para maging smooth ang takbo ng project ganun? Dumampot ako ng saging na nasa tray. Naku, ang sarap niyang putolan ng sandáta. O kaya'y durog-durogin. Kumunot ang noo niya nang panggigilan kong pisilin ang hawak kong saging.

"What are you doing?"
He mouthed. Pero inirapan ko lang siya.
Lalo akong nanggigil nang malutong siyang tumawa. What's so funny? Nasiyahan kasi gusto ring magpabuntis ang kausap? Asar na lalaki. Puwede namang sa akin niya gawin ang lahat ng posisyon para makabuo ng babae, kambal o triplets pa man.

"The changes you've asked for are completely do-able but if you re-examine the design I have submitted perhaps you will see that it already satisfies these goals."
Hinimas-himas niya ang baba saka ngumiti. Walang hiya, baka niyaya na siyang matulog sa bahay ng bruhang Ms. Chen na yan.

"Don't get me wrong. Honestly, I really like the enthusiasm coming from you but I think at this point, making such changes would hurt the design rather than enhance it. If I may be so bold, your suggestions tell me that you are missing some fine points of the current version. I would love to go over the project's goals with you to show how each is being met."
Tumulis ang nguso ko pagkarinig sa sinabi niya. Mas lalo akong nagngitngit nang humalakhak siya. Naku, naku, nilalandi na yata ng kausap at ikinatutuwa naman niya.
