It wasn't until much later that anything noteworthy happened.
The blonde man jumped out of his chair like someone poked him with a cattle prod. Had I been in any other situation, I would've laughed. But he was a kidnapper, holding me against my will, so it wasn't funny.
He threw some cuffs at me, expertly avoiding the bars of the cell. "Put these on." He walked over to the keypad.
"And if I don't cooperate?"
"Then you're going to have to deal with Grayson or Mason." He said bored.
I put on the cuffs. I definitely didn’t want to see Grayson again. I definitely remembered Grayson. Mason…not so much.
"Good girl." He said with a smile, popping open the cell door.
He led me up the metal stairs and through a huge metal door.
"Where are we going?"
"To convince you that you are what we say you are."
"Ah." I followed him into a nice house. I was surprised. It looked…normal.
I could see into a living room that looked like a tornado ran through.
"The kids had a toy fight. They haven't gotten to the cleaning stages yet."
"You guys raise kids here?"
He nodded with a small smile, "We're like normal people. The only difference is we have the ability to change into wolves."
I couldn’t believe these psychos raise children. They are going to be incredibly messed up people if they even made it into adulthood.
The man led outside to a SUV.
"Where are you taking me?" I was scared and it showed through, much to my regret.
"It's a place we call the compound. It's where we hold and train the new recruits."
I shook my head, "I won't go there."
"You don't have much of a choice." He opened back door. "Hop in." I shook my head. I wasn't going somewhere where they kept all their kidnap victims. It had to be well hidden since no one knew about this place. "Look. I'm not playing your little game. Get your ass in the car, or I'm forcing you in."
Deep inside I knew I should listen to this guy.
"Please…" He added looking at me with impatient eyes.
I couldn't afford to be injured if I managed to escape. I got into the back of the SUV.
"Can you take these off?" I motioned to my cuffed hands.
He shook his head. "When we get there, maybe; if you behave yourself."
"Great." I muttered after he shut the door.
I looked around. This SUV was modified. You couldn't open where I was from the outside. I couldn't climb up the seats to a real door because there was a metal grate preventing that. So I had no choice but to sit there, like a good little prisoner.
By the time that we got to this compound the cuff itched so bad I just wanted to scratch off my wrists.
"Did you dip these in itching powder?" I asked as the blonde man opened the door.
"Nope. It's the silver. That's a better reaction than the burning."
He helped me down so I didn't fall flat on my face. He led into the huge building by holding onto my elbow.
"So." He punched in a pass code. "What's your name?" He asked as the door clicked, unlocking. The lock sounded heavy, which meant it was meant to keep in whatever awaited me inside.
"My name's Chris." His pass code was 1247. I'd have to remember that…just in case I can escape from this place.
"Chris isn't a very intimidating name for a kidnapper."
"Well good thing I'm not a kidnapper." He said moodily and shoved me into the compound. That was a weird name for a building to keep prisoners.
"You look like one to me."
"Right."
He entered the code into 3 more keypads. They were serious about the security here.
Then there was a special touch screen keypad. He put his hand on the screen and it scanned his prints. Unless I chopped off his hand, I wouldn't be able to get out of this door again.
I stared at the shutting door as Chris pulled me away from it. A whistle startled me to look forward. There were half naked men standing in doorways, looking at me like I was something to eat.
Some snickered at me, some stared, some whistled, and others looked as scared and angry as I was.
I felt uneasy, uncomfortable, to be around these men. I thought their prisoners would be in cells like the one I had been in, with stationed guards. I looked down the hall, there were no women. Was I here to be their male prisoner entertainment?
So, I did what I've been doing lately.
I panicked…again.
I pulled against Chris, I wanted out of here. I didn't want to be around all these guys. There was no good situation I saw here.
