The NOT SO Typical Love Story!

Chapter 7

Rhea's POV

~2 hours later~

I was leaving the place to catch the cab to go home. I guess I can call it home.

A guy hurriedly passed me, pushing me back. He mumbled an apology and left.

It was fairly cold outside and it was until later when I sat in the cab I realized that I had forgot my jacket there. It was my favorite jacket but I guess it was okay as she need it more than me.

I reached home and was immediately bombarded with questions by my uncle and aunt.

"Where did you go?"

"Why are you covered in mud?"

"Do you even know worried we were for you?"

"How would we explain it to your parents if something happened to you?"

"Rhea! Answer us!"

"I am fine. I will tell you guys later. Please pay to the taxi driver. I dont have cash with me now. Ill pay you guys later. I am in my room." I said calmly.

I was off to my room. I took a long shower and went down to the dining area. I took an apple and started to eat it.

"RHEA AKSHAY KHANNA! You answer us! What happened?"

I shifted uncomfortably on my feet and started talking.

~2 hours earlier [at the park]~

I was reading my book and looking for Olly and Chris. I had seen my uncle park his car across the street.

Suddenly a little girl fell from the top of the slide, rolled in the sand and crashed near the fence. She was around Olly and Chris age. I ran to her to help her and also saw a woman running to her. I assumed she must be her mother.

I was shocked looking at her sight. Her head was bleeding and so was her leg which was badly injured. Her mother was weeping badly. She was confused what to do about it.

I saw quickly called a cab and helped the mother. Fearing her getting overly emotional and not being able to make decisions, I told Olly and Chris to go to their father.

I sat in the cab with the wailing lady and asked him to go to the hospital in hurry. I wrapped my jacket around the girl to keep her warm. She was in the middle with her head on her mothers lap and legs on mine.

Reaching the hospital, the lady rushed out of the cab. I paid the driver and followed her. Doctor and nurses came in rushing and took the little girl inside a room.

The mother was requested to stay out. I tried to comfort her but couldnt. The doctor immediately came out and asked the mother to sign some papers as the girl need an operation.

He told her to deposit the money to start the operation. I was about to leave when I heard. "Doctor, please save my daughter! I would pay the money but I currently dont have it and I have not received my salary. Ill pay as soon as I get it but please save my daughter!"

"I can't help maam! Sorry"

She fell on the floor crying. She was a crying mess.

I wanted to continue but I didn't want a 700-800 words chapter all of a sudden.

I have written the part after this. And I'll post it tomorrow.

Increasing the length is definitely not easy.
