Chapter 6: Amara's Capture/Flash Storm's Death

5 months later after Optimus was attacked by Megatron:

Five months after Optimus was attacked by Megatron, he was finally fully healed and back on his feet again, taking care of business, fighting decepticons and of course, when he has free time, playing games with Amara like their favorite hide and seek. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Ready or not, here I come Daddy," said Amara and she started looking for Optimus. "Daddy, where are you?" said Amara. She looked everywhere for him including his and Flash's room. He was nowhere to be found. "Daddy. Daddy," said Amara. Without noticing him, Optimus appeared behind her and then he said,"Gotcha." She squealed and ran away with Optimus hot on her heels. However, Amara didn't see where she was going and accidentally stepped on one of Ratchet's tools and broke it. "Uh oh," she said to herself. "AMARA, I NEEDED THAT!" yelled Ratchet and she started crying and ran towards her father. Optimus picked her up and held her close to his chassis. "Shhh, it's ok sweet spark. It's ok," said Optimus. Ratchet's mean look softened and he approached both Optimus and Amara. "Amara, I'm sorry for yelling at you. Can you ever forgive me?" asked Ratchet and she smiled at him. "Yeah. I can forgive you Grandpa Ratchet. Sorry for breaking your tool," said Amara. "It's alright Amara. I forgive you," said Ratchet. Then, Amara let out a big yawn and her optics started to get a little droopy. Optimus chuckled and said,"I think you've had enough fun for today sweetie. Let's get you to bed Amara." Without protest, she nodded her head and then, just like that, went to sleep in Optimus's arms and he smiled at her. He made his way to her room, put her down in her bed, rubbed her back for a few minutes and started to sing a lullaby to her.

Optimus (singing): I didn't have to wake up
I've been up all night
Laying there in bed listening
To my new born baby cry
I grabbed an energon cube
And splashed some onto my face
My mate gave me a kiss and said
It's gonna be OK
It wont be like this for long
One day soon we'll look back laughin'
At the week we brought her home
This phase is gonna fly by
So baby just hold on
It wont be like this for long.

Then Amara fell asleep and Optimus smiled gave her a kiss goodnight. "Sweet dreams my little sweet spark. I love you," said Optimus and he got up, turned off her light and left her room. Then, he turned to see Flash entering the base with Arcee. "Hey honey. We're back," said Flash. "Welcome back honey and Arcee. Any sign of Megatron and his decepticons?" asked Optimus. "Nada Optimus. Didn't see them at all," said Arcee. "Good," said Optimus. "How's our little Amara doing?" asked Flash. Optimus smiled and said,"She's now in a peaceful recharge." Flash peeked into Amara's room to see her sleeping like a rock and she smiled. "Aww. She looks so peaceful," said Flash. "She does," said Optimus and then they made their way towards their room, kissed each other goodnight and went into a peaceful recharge.

The next day:

Everyone including Miko, Jack and Raf were all at a very peaceful and quiet lake in Nevada and they were all having a great time over there. "Come on Miko. Try and catch me," said Amara as they raced against each other. "I'm gonna getcha Amara," said Miko but Amara already touched a tree, which was the finish line, and won. "YAY! I WON! WOOHOO!" "Great job Amara. But I'll get you next time," said Miko. "We'll see. Race ya back to our family,"'said Amara and ran back towards Optimus and the other autobots. Then, all of a sudden, a net came down on Amara and she screamed in terror, crying out for Optimus and Flash. "DADDY! MOMMY! HELP ME!" Amara cried out in desperation for her parents. Then she heard an evil laugh and looked to her right to see a decepticon that had the color gray all over him and airplane wings on his back. "Who are you?" asked a terrified Amara. "Why my dear, I am Starscream, Megatron's second in command. Well, was his second in command 'till he banned me from his ship and replaced me with a decepticon named Dread Wing," said Starscream. Miko, Raf and Jack were hiding behind rocks and Amara looked at them, pleading for help. "We have to get Optimus. Let's go," said Jack and they all ran back towards the lake where Optimus, Flash, Arcee, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, Ratchet, Wheeljack and Smokescreen were located at. "OPTIMUS! OPTIMUS!" they all yelled in unison and him, Flash and the other autobots saw them running towards them with terrified looks on their faces. "Jack, Miko, Raf, what's wrong? What is it?" asked Flash. "Where's our daughter Amara?" asked Optimus. "Starscream has her," said Jack. "He captured her," said Miko. "And he's going to take her away from all of us," said Raf. Optimus had a fearful look on his face when he heard that no good decepticon was holding their daughter captive. Then he had an angry look on his face and said,"Autobots, roll out," and they went to where Amara and Starscream were at.

Back to Amara and Starscream:

Amara continued to fight her way out of the net but Starscream grabbed his electric stick and zapped her in the neck. "AAAAHHHH!" Amara screamed in pain and she got down on her knees defeated. She couldn't fight anymore. "Try that again one more time and your life is over. Now be a good little sparkling, don't do anything stupid and come with me to my ship," said Starscream. "Never," said Amara and she spat in his face. That enraged Starscream and he prepared himself to strike her again with his electric stick. A sound of a laser gun went off and it knocked the stick out of Starscream's hand. "Starscream, release our daughter NOW," said Optimus and Amara smiled when she saw her parents and her fellow autobots coming to her rescue. "MOMMY! DADDY!" "AMARA!" yelled Optimus and Flash in unison. "RELEASE HER NOW!" Optimus yelled. "Oh I don't think so," said Starscream and then he looked at his decepticon soldiers. "Take her away," ordered Starscream. "Yes sir," said one of his soldiers and they started to drag Amara away from her family. "NO! MOMMY! DADDY! HELP ME!" Amara screamed. Rage started to build up in Optimus's body and he, Flash and their team ran towards the decepticons, firing their guns at them. Optimus tried to reach for Amara but one of the decepticon soldiers transformed into a plane and slammed into him, making him slam into a big rock, knocking Optimus out. Flash looked over to see her spark mate unconscious and anger ran through her body. She ripped out her attacker's spark and chased after the decepticons that had their daughter. She leapt into the air and grabbed the net. "Mommy," wailed Amara in fear. "Don't worry sweet spark. Mommy's here. I'll get you out of here," said Flash and her right servo transformed into a saw and she began to cut through the ropes. However, she didn't know that Starscream was right behind her. Amara, however, did. "MOMMY, LOOK OUT!" Amara yelled and Flash turned her head to see Starscream transform and jump onto her back. He tore off her saw and stabbed her in the stomach and chest with his large claws. "NOOO! MOMMY!" Amara screamed in terror. Then Starscream transformed and flew away. Flash shuddered and looked at a tearful looking Amara one final time. She lost her grip and began to fall. "MOMMY! MOMMY!" Amara yelled and she began to cry. Flash lost consciousness and went offline and she hit the ground with a loud THUD! Optimus regained consciousness and slowly got back to his feet. "Optimus, are you alright?" asked a worried Arcee. "I'm...alive Arcee. Where are Fla-FLASH!" Optimus ran towards his spark mate and held her head and right hand in his hands. "Flash?" said Optimus as his voice cracked. Flash opened her optics and looked at Optimus with a sad look. "Optimus, save....our daughter. She....needs you. She.....needs....you." Then, Flash went offline and was gone forever. Tears fell from Optimus's optics and he held his love close to his chest and began to cry. Ratchet, Arcee, Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Wheeljack, Smokescreen, Jack, Miko and Raf bowed their heads to respect their lost comrade. Arcee even let out a few tears. She and Flash were really close friends and partners. They fought so many battles together and now she did not only lose a partner but also someone who was a like a sister to her as well. Ratchet approached the grieving Optimus and placed his hand on his friend's shoulder and said,"I'm so sorry Optimus. I truly am sorry." Optimus looked at Ratchet for a quick second and then looked at his spark mate and cried some more. Ratchet looked at his fellow autobots and human friends and said,"Let's let him have a few minutes alone," and they all went back to base. Optimus looked at his deceased spark mate and then anger and determination started to race through his body. "Don't worry Flash. I will find our precious Amara and I will bring her back here with me. I promise," he said to Flash and he contacted the base. "Optimus to base, I'm going to find Amara and bring her back home alive." "Ten four Optimus. We'll see you both when you get here. Be careful out there boss," said Wheeljack. "Will do. Optimus out." Then Optimus transformed into his vehicle mode and began to search for his precious daughter. "Don't worry Amara. I'm coming for you sweet spark," said Optimus.
