Class ended and everybody was going home. I was packing up my stuff when someone approached me. "Hey I wanna go home together?" It was Tyler, carrying his black bag and holding his phone on his right hand. " I found out that my house was actually on the same street as yours so I figures we could go home together."
I stared at him with shock. I have a lot of questions lined up for him right now. Like "How did you know my address" or "Why would you go home with me?" or "Why does your phone case pink?" but I was too shocked to answer. "Y-Yeah sure" the words fell out of my mouth without me knowing.
I never expected that I had a chance to talk that much and actually talk to someone in one day. I grabbed my bag and put the earphones around my neck and walked to him.
"Let's go" I nodded.
We continued to walk down the street where I usually go when walking to school. He's a couple of feet taller than me. I say around 5'11 since I'm just 5'8.
"How come I never see you around?" he asked as he looked at me. "Well I never go out that much" I looked down at realizing that. "So you're like some sort of Neet?" I turned my head to him. "What's that?" I saw him looking at my phone. "A person who doesn't like outdoor and only stays indoor. Some antisocial people in this generation in other words."
"So I'm a Neet?" I asked. "Well you have friends and you socialize so you're like a semi-neet" "Wait I have friends? Who?" I'm a little confused. "Me, You socialize with me and I'm your friend. Though it's 'FriendS' not Friend but it's good enough. You're still a neet either way." Okay now I'm REALLY confused. "Uh thanks?" "You're welcome"
After a while of talking and walking, we finally arrived in on the street. "So where's your house?" I asked. "It's that one" he pointed at a blue two story house . Not too big but it looks nice. "Where's your house?" then it hit me. I just realized that his house was right next to mine. "That one." I pointed at a white two story house with a balcony on the second floor. There's a garage gate but it's empty.
"Wait hold on. You live right beside my house all this time and I didn't know? I mean it's kinda retarded but how come I never saw you in this street?" he's right about that. I mean I don't go out of my house unless there's an earthquake or stuff. "I uh... Don't go out that much..."
He pat my head and smiled at me. We continued to walk near our houses until we reached our gates. "Well it's getting late, and we have a game tonight remember that. I'll see you then. Laters" he said before opening his gate and entering his house.
I put my phone inside my pocket and opened the gate. I opened the front door and saw my sister watching TV. "Yo bro, there's some salad in the fridge. You can eat them when you're hungry."
"Yeah sure maybe later" I made my way up stares and went inside my room. I opened the door and headed straight to the bed. I laid down and looked at my phone. "What an odd day" I took my laptop from my bag and opened it. There I saw a note in the desktop. "And it's about to get weirder."
