"I hate my life." I groaned. Liv sat next to me and sighed.
"It could be worse. You could have died." She tried to reassure me.
"But I can never enjoy what I love again. Liv, how do you do it?" I leaned back in my chair, staring at my lunch. Not very appetizing but survival of the fittest.
"Who?" I mumble pointing at the plastic container in front of me.
"John Sherman. Got hit by a car." Liv informed.
"Well, I guess it's time for a brain sandwich then." I sighed, getting up. I quickly made my meal and sat back down to eat.
"Liv, we gotta case." Ravi said, poking his head in the door.
"Do I have to go too?" I asked.
"Not today Ryan." Ravi answered.
I nodded.
"I'll call if I need anything. Tell Babineaux I said hi."
I smiled, taking a bite of my sandwich.
They nodded and left.

30 minutes later, I was sat at the desk, playing WoW on my laptop.
"Hello gorgeous." A voice spoke from the entrance of the morgue. I quickly spun in my chair to face the owner of the voice.
"Why are you here?" I spoke. I knew who he was and what he was.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you don't want to see me here. "
"You're such an ass. I don't want to see you anywhere. You turned me into this, and now you're stalking me?" I hissed.
"Well, actually, I was looking for Liv. You just happened to work here."
"And Liv just happens to not be here. How convenient." I rolled my eyes and spun on my heels, walking towards Ravi's office. There had to be some form of defense in there.
"Let Liv know I was here. The names Blaine. See you around." He smiled, and with that he was gone.

When Liv came back, I was cleaning up the morgue.
"Some guy came by. Said his name was Blaine. It's th- DON'T GO IN THERE I JUST MOPPED! It's the guy from the boat party."
"Oh. I'll give him a call later." Liv smiled.
"So what'd we get?" I smiled, oddly straightening my lab coat, something I'd never do if I wasn't on a brain. I liked my jackets hanging off my shoulder.
"18 year old girl. Her mom walked in to see her hanging in her closet. Her window was open and there were signs of a struggle. Papers tossed around, phone shoved off her desk." Ravi shrugged.
"Interesting. Have fun with that brain, Liv."
"So much fun." She replied sarcastically.

When I got home, I plopped right on the couch.
"Finally home from a long day of staring at naked bodies?" My roommate joked.
"You're an ass."
"Not only an ass, I'm a gay ass, a smart ass, and I have a lovely ass." She smiled.
"We're friends for a reason Jess." I chuckled.

I got up from the couch upon hearing a knock on the door.
"Hey- Blaine?" I raised my eyebrow before pulling him in.
"Look, Ryan? It's Ryan, right? Look, we've got an issue here."
"What? Can't you find a zombie stripper?" I retorted.
"Well, actually..."
"Don't even finish that sentence Blaine. Plus, buy me a drink first. Why are you actually here?"
"Look, I'm on a tight rope right now. And what if I told you that you could get free brains, anything you need, for the small price of coming to work for me?" He offered.
"So, you want me to be your arm candy? For free? Never in a million years Blaine."
"I'll let you consider." He winked before walking out of the apartment.
