Chapter 8

*Central Perk*

Monica and Phoebe walked in, Monica sat on the couch next to Rachel and  Phoebe sat in the chair. "What is it? What is it? Tell me!" Rachel said excited. Monica smiled and said "It's a boy!" Rachel screamed and hugged her. "Before I forget, Chandler and I are having dinner.." "Wait..What" Rachel said cutting her off. "Did I stutter, Chandler.. and I..are.. having.. dinner." "That's great, really great!" "Yeah, Can you take me shopping to pick a dress.?" "Of course." Rachel smiled. "Hey Pheebs, Wanna come?" Monica said remembering Phoebe was there. "Yeah sure." Phoebe smiled. "Hey Mon! Do you have any names in mind?" Rachel interrupted. "yeah, I do. I've always liked the name Daniel." "Oh that's right! I remember now!" Rachel laughed. "I really like that name!" Phoebe said. "Me too." Monica smiled. "I do too. Where are we gonna go shopping?" Rachel said taking a sip of her coffee. "Anywhere I want a dress, but I don't have any that fit anymore"Monica laughed. "Awh Monica, you're bump is so cute" Phoebe laughed. "We better get going" Rachel said helping Monica up.

*Chandler's Apartment*

Chandler had to pick up his suit, pick up a ring, and get his hair cut. He had just gotten out of the shower when his cell phone started to ring, he quickly put on a towel and ran over to his phone which was on the charger. "Hello? he said answering the phone. "Hey" Monica said. "What's up" "I don't think I can go to dinner tomorrow" "What?" "Chandler.. I want to, it's just so hard." "Monica, I need you back in my life, I can't do this anymore. Can you please come and if it's that hard you can leave." "I need you too, I guess I can try." "Thank you so much" Chandler said wiping the tears from his eyes. "Can I call you later?" Monica asked, "Of course." "Bye" "Bye, Love you" "Love you too" Chandler hung up. He looked at his lock screen, it was a collage of pictures of him and Monica. He smiled and then he went back to the bathroom to finish getting ready.

*Dress Shop*

"Hello, my friend is pregnant and she needs a dress for tomorrow night." Rachel said to the sales lady. "Okay, follow me and I'll show you what we have." The lady responded. "Thank you" Rachel said following the lady, Monica and Phoebe followed. The lady took them to rack and pointed, Rachel started looking through the dresses pulling the ones she liked. Once she had 5 or 6 she took Monica into the dressing room and helped her put one on. The dress was teal it ended just above her knees and the sleeves were long. "Monica! I love it! It's perfect!" Rachel said excited. "I like it a lot." Phoebe said. "I think this is good." Monica said looking in the mirror."The only problem is you can still see my belly." "Mon, you can't hide it." Rachel said putting her arm around Monica. "I guess your right, I'll try a couple more on." Monica said. Monica tried 3 more on, but she didn't like any of them except the teal one. Rachel look the teal dress to the counter and paid for it. "Rach, Why did you do that?" Monica asked. "It's my gift, for you and Daniel." "Thank you " Monica said hugging Rachel. "Monica, Do you need shoes?" Phoebe asked. "No I have boots that are black and they come up just below my knees." Monica replied. "Those would be perfect" Phoebe smiled.

*Later that day*

"Hey Ross, Did you know that Monica is having a boy?" Rachel said setting her purse on the kitchen counter. "I didn't! I'm so happy for her." Ross smiled, hugging Rachel. "I missed you." Rachel said kissing Ross. "I missed you too" he said. "Guess what?" She said. "What?" "Monica and Chandler are having dinner tomorrow night!" "That's so great! I hope they get back together!" Ross said. "Me too" Rachel said. "MOMMY!" Emma yelled running up to Rachel. "Hi sweetie." Rachel said as she hugged her daughter. "Emma, Can I talk to you?" "Yea" "You know Aunt Monica's gonna have a baby, right?" "Yeah." "Well she's gonna have a baby boy and she's gonna name him Daniel." "Who's Daniel's daddy?" "Daniel's daddy is Uncle Chandler." "but I thought that they didn't live together anymore." "They don;t sweetie, but I think Uncle Chandler is gonna come back soon." "Good cause I miss him." Emma giggled. Rachel smiled and hugged Ross. Emma ran out of the room, "You explained that well." Ross said, " She needs to know what's going on." Rachel said sitting down on the couch.

*Joey's Apartment*

Hey Joey!" Monica said walking into Joey's apartment. "Hey Monica!" Joey said peeking his head out of the fridge. "Guess what?" "What?" "I'm having a boy!" "You are?" Monica nodded. Joey shut the the fridge and hugged her, then her put his hand on her belly said "Uncle Joey loves you so much already." Monica giggled, as Daniel satrted to kick. "I think he likes you." Monica said. "I bet he does" Joey said taking his hand off Monica's belly and going back into the fridge. "I'm having dinner with Chandler tomorrow." "I know, he told me." "Oh haha, I'm gonna go call him." "Okay." "Talk to you later?" Monica said reaching for the door knob "Of course." Joey smiled. Monica walked out and went into her apartment, she picked up the phone. It started to ring jusy as she picked it up "Hello?" she said answering it. "Hey" Chandler said. "Oh hey, I was just about to call you" Monica laughed. "that's funny" he said. "Yeah, I'm really excited to see you" "I'm so excited to see you." Chandler said. They continued to talk for about 2 hours, then they both went to bed.
