Tomorrow, Monday, is the day that you have to hand in your huge English essay, and you completely forgot about it. With the things going down with 'A' and all. You decide to go to The Brew to write it since your brother is always throwing parties at the weekend and you need some quiet time to focus. You couldn't remember the last time you had some quiet during the weekends.
You sigh as you walk through The Brew's doors. You order a cappuccino and go sit over by the corner. You take out your laptop and start to think about what to write. You're too tired to think, it's 7pm. So far you've only written the title, 'Romeo and Juliet are referred to as "star-cross'd lovers". Discuss the concept of predetermined destiny and how it relates to the play.' No wonder you can't think of anything to write...
You lay your head onto the back of the chair in frustration. Although, you quickly fall asleep without realising. You managed to get no sleep at all last night. A message from 'A' kept you awake. You stir in your sleep as you're having a nightmare. A nightmare about 'A' hurting you and your friends.
You suddenly awake from fear to notice someone sitting to your right. He's using your laptop.
The man notices that you're awake and turns to you, "Oh I hope you don't mind but I um... I was helping you write your essay..."
Out of his mouth comes an irresistible English accent that is to die for.
Your eyes widen as you can't believe some stranger would just help some other stranger with their essay, "Well, um thank you but why?"
He clears his throat, "I saw you had fallen asleep and your laptop screen was open. I was actually coming over to see if you were okay and you'd only written a title."
"That's really nice! Again, thanks so much. I've had a long day and I couldn't concentrate," you explain.
"It's no problem. I took English when I was at school anyway." He continues, "Although I wasn't the best at it, I remember doing this exact essay so..."
"Ah, yes. I like English, but I think I prefer Math. There's a lot less writing!" You laugh.
"I was always better at Math. You know you could always delete this page and start again if it makes no sense."
"Are you kidding? I wouldn't delete this! You got me started on it when I clearly couldn't!" You laugh again.
"So do you like the book?" He asks.
"The book?" You question.
"Romeo and Juliet." He answers.
"Oh, right. It's well written I'll say, but I always thought the storyline was kind of stupid. I mean, she just saw him and is suddenly in love with him. That usually doesn't happen in the real world." You ramble.
"Not usually, but not impossible..." He blushes.
You stare into his eyes and he stares into yours. Maybe fairytale stories do happen in real life, you think.
"I didn't catch your name." He says softly.
"Y/N." You reply.
