Rising Hope (A warrior cats fan fiction!)

Chapter 2

It was finally the day for Icepaw and Poppypaw to become warriors. Streamkit was rather jealous, but didn't say anything due to the fact that she had somehow developed a crush on Icepaw. There was honestly no hope for Streamkit though due to the unusual,"You smell like a tooth" scenario.
"All cats old enough to swim in the creek please gather beneath the Cloud Willow for a clan meeting!" Shouted Juniperstar, the clan leader.
"All cats...." Streamkit thought. Streamkit didn't pay any attention to anything else her leader said and went along with the other cats to the Cloud Willow. Ravenwing, the Duskclan deputy held out his paw in front of Streamkit, blocking her from going any further.
"Hey!?" Streamkit was furious at the deputy.
"I'm sorry Streamkit," He said with slight annoyance,"You can't go any further, you are just a kit, now go watch from the nursery."
"Ugh ok," Streamkit grumble as she slumped back to the nursery entrance, frustrated at her terrible view.
"Poppypaw please step forward, you have served this clan well as your time as an apprentice and proved yourself worthy of becoming a warrior, your mentor Cloverpool has trained you well and we have decided your name will be Poppyleaf!" Juniperstar said as she brimmed with joy at the warrior. Then the two cats walked back to the crowd as the whole clan shouted Poppyleaf's name. Streamkit was so excited to one day become a warrior and hoped that maybe a Cloverpool would become her mentor when she was an apprentice too. Everyone knew Cloverpool should of been made deputy, but there was nothing you could do about it. Ravenwing was just to powerful.
"Icepaw!" Juniperstar shouted,"You have showed the clan to be a brave and courages apprentice, it is now time for you to become a warrior and we think you will be a splendid one at that! Your warrior name will be Iceclaw!"
Nightshower, Iceclaw's mentor was beaming with joy at her old apprentice, and Streamkit glared at her, wanting to shout at the warrior not to get any ideas, but she held her tongue.
After Iceclaw and Poppyleaf had been made warriors, Streamkit walked over to them to congratulate them, but Iceclaw began to run away.
"Wait!" Streamkit shouted
Iceclaw halted, hoping she wouldn't say anything else weird.
"Look Iceclaw, Lotusflower told me to be honest and I guess I was a little too honest, I'm sorry." Streamkit mewed.
"It's ok!" Iceclaw left.
"You still smell like a tooth you know!" Streamkit said laughing as she walked away.

Streamkit was sunbathing on a rock outside the nursery rather bored, until she saw Ravenwing walking out of camp, constantly peering over his shoulder.
"Suspicious..." Streamkit thought as she got up to follow him in secret.
Streamkit followed Ravenwing deep into the forest until she saw him meet up with another cat.
"A Dawnclan cat!?" Streamkit gasped.
"Who's there?" Ravenwing shouted, in his raspy voice.
Streamkit stood completely still in terror, hoping he wouldn't go look for whatever made the noise.
"Leave it alone Ravenwing, it was probably a bird or something." Laughed the Dawnclan cat.
"Why are you so chipper?" Asked Ravenwing in suspicion.
"That's just me!" Snorted the Dawnclan cat.
"Yea ok whatever." Ravenwing said flatly,"Do you have the news."
"Er...well." Stuttered the Dawnclan cat,"I couldn't exactly-"
Ravenwing cut her off,"You mean you didn't find it out!? I needed that information if I wanted to go to the next step,"
"How dare you!? I worked my hardest, sometimes it pretty hard when your clan suspects you for everything these days!"
As soon as she said that, Ravenwing snapped and lunged at the Dawnclan warrior, clawing her to shreds. The cat tried desperately to fight back, but she was too weak and eventually was lying bloodied and lifeless on the ground.
Streamkit's eyes widened with terror and she desperately ran as fast as she could back to the nursery and hid behind her mother.
"What's wrong Streamkit?!" Her mother questioned in her usual worried tone.
"Nothing I just saw a, er, falcon," Streamkit lied.
"Oh sweetie well I think you better stay in here then," Her mother said as she comforted her.

Ravenwing narrowed his eyes in fear and anger as he saw a small figure flash by.
"That better not be that Streamkit," He thought,"Hopefully it's just a rabbit."
Ravenwing ran quickly away, deeper into the woods, near the twoleg territory.
