"Nas, you know I love yo ass but you gone have to leave this one alone." I said, scratching my hair and laying down on my bed. Throwing my feet in the air, I breathed out, glad I was home from Beyoncé's house.

"Just ask her! She might let you do it." He said. "If she didn't want you to cone down here for the summer, what makes you think she finna let me go down there for the summer? She moved us outta there for a reason." I said.

He was silent for a second. "You know what Nic, I think you sicing the shit. Do you even want shit to do with me?" I sat up. "I know you did not just ask me that." I said in all seriousness. "Well you acting like you ain't willing to do anything to see me." He said.

"How many times have I told you I've hated this state since I've been here; for 5 days?" He scoffed. "More than you've tried to make an effort to see me." I shook my head.

"Look, you acting like a real bitch right now." I told him. "I'm not gone be too many bitches so you can stop that shit right now. Nic, you know how many hoes been try'na get with me since you left? A nigga get vulnerable when you ain't around to spend nights with me."

I cocked my head to the side. "Wait, so you're saying that me being gone is an excuse to be messing with someone else?" I asked, my heart sinking to my stomach. "I mean, Nic-"

"Nas tell me you ain't fucking round with Tisha." I said, my voice so low due to the hurt I knew I was about to go through. "She caught me at the wrong time bab-"

"Get the fuck off my line and don't hit me up for shit Nasir." I said, hanging up and putting my phone down.

I felt a tear roll down my eye before it actually did. Soon, my thighs were wet from the tears that dripped off of my chin.

A sarcastic laugh slipped from my mouth as my phone rang, seeing that it was him.

"I guess I'm just supposed to understand that you lonely, right?... hoe." I wiped my eyes and got up, going into my bathroom. Carol told me never to cry too long about anything.

Wiping my eyes, I looked at myself in the mirror. "What are you gonna do with yourself?" I asked myself. Leaning up against the wall, I examine myself. My body figure. "No-damn-wonder he was so fast with her ass." I sat, looking at my thighs.

I sighed, deciding that I'd have to start working out this summer. Going back into my room, I grabbed my phone. Trying to turn it on, the screen stayed black.

Reaching into my purse, I felt around for my charger, but it wasn't there. "Where... damn." I said, realizing exactly where it was.

"Ma! Let me borrow your charger!" I yelled down the hall. "Where's yours?" I walked to her room. "I left it at Beyoncé's house and it's late. I don't want to go get it. It's dark."

"Girl, since when have you been scared of the dark? Go over there and get that charger?" I smacked my teeth. "Ma, I could just use yours tonight and get it in the morning. You're being unreasonable." I said. "And you're acting like a child; go get that damn charger. Too damn old to be this lazy and "scared"." She said. I rolled my eyes.

"Aight, fine. I'm gone then." I said, turning and making my way downstairs. Opening the door, it wasn't dark at all. Too many streetlights for anything in this neighborhood to go down secretly.

Getting to her porch, I knocked on the door, placing my hands in my jacket and waiting. After a few seconds, I heard footsteps coming downstairs. The door unlocked and opened to a half sleep Beyoncé.
