Pinefort

Among the woods in the east, there was a forest that all of the people of Sagecastle are afraid of. Pinefort. Place of the dark lords, fortress of witches, and this forest haven't been entered by a human for almost 300 years. Since the Great War of Wizards and Witches, they are appearing into the man's sight by chance. Among wizards, there are two of them: One is the Dark Wizard; They are the most powerful but they are the wizards that everyone fears for they don't help anyone. Much more, they don't care for creatures that dwell among them, just like what the legends are foretold. The other is the White Wizard; Uncommon but not entirely unknown, White Wizards live among humans. They have dwindled as a race more than humans, with only a few left that are able to perform even rudimentary magic; rumors suggest the dissipation in magic ability has to do with the decision to dwell among humans. These are just some of the magical creatures that you can see there.

Back in the kingdom, where everyone is grieving from their fallen king, all of them wears their bests as show to respect their kingdom. And the kingdom now is left to its Queen. Vaerys hadn't go out of her room for three days and no one knows what happened to the queen, Zachary, whom is a faithful servant of the king, got his part of treasure as the king ordered his adviser before, and Zachary requested to leave the kingdom for he is no of use anymore for the king he serve is dead.

There are rumors everywhere that what happened to the king is a doing of a Dark Wizard, some say it's a witch. The death of the king has been the talk of the entire kingdom for weeks.

The fortress of Pinefort became active as a man entered it. Crawling, needing for help, then he met the leader among the witches.

"Can you please help me?" the man asked the witch.

Rumors spread throughout the continent of Newshore - the continent that covers the whole Sagecastle - which made every one worry about the activity that is happening in the midst of the forbidden forest.

Bishops in the kingdom announced for a meeting among all bishops of the continent. Some of them to ask for the presence of the Queen but some knew that the queen doesn't care. The queen still not got out of the palace since then. But everyone of them were shook to see the queen, surprisingly giving her presence in the courtroom.

"If may I ask Queen Vaerys, what is your suggestions for these plans that we made?" the high bishop asked the queen.

"It's not going to work." the queen replied quickly,  which made the bishops bother.

"Why do you say so, Your Highness?" the other bishop asked her.

The queen drew out a sword beside her and stood up.

"It's not going to work because nobles alone cannot stop the witches, and you should know that very well. The only way to take them out is through wizards, and there are wizards that dwell among us!" The queen declares in the courtroom.

"Do you mean the White Wizards, Your Highness?" the bishop sitting in the right side of the Head Bishop asked.

"But, they are extinct because of the Holy War happened centuries ago!" the Head Bishop interfere.

"Extinct, huh? Who says they are extinct? Who says that White Wizards are extinct, eh? This kingdom is protected by White Wizards for fifty years and you say that they are extinct?" the queen confidently answer back the Head Bishop.

"No! I won't let another Holy War happen! Not ever!" the Head Bishop disagrees with the plan of the queen.

"Well, I'm just wasting my time then." the queen said and stood up her chair and leave the courtroom.

For fifty years, Sagecastle was protected by White Wizards, and no one believes her.  She went up on the west side of Sagecastle which is known as the forest of Merrilea, the forest of the Gods. She walk throughout the forest and went in the middle part of it where she found a huge rock that shines like fine crystal. There are scriptures that is written in the rock that only a Wizard can read.

"Come forth in the shining rock, in the afternoon of the feast of Mock, for there is a wish that you can make, and the wish will be serve as your mate." Queen Vaerys read the scripture.

The rock ignites in blue flame and there is a voice coming from it.

"Vaerys Bartheon, the daughter of Clerys Bartheon, the great White Wizard.  What is your wish that I can give?" the voice from the blue flame ask the Queen.

Clerys Bartheon is the great White Wizard that wiped out an entire continent of  Witches in a single blow, and by using his skills, he also die in the battle. Clerys taught her only child Vaerys to read Wizard scripts to use for moments just like these.

"Can you bring my father back right?" she asked it.

"Yes I can, but in one condition." the voice answered the queen.

"Anything you want." she replied in it.

The voice coming from the blue flame came from the Gods that are ruling over the continent, and that thing is really merciless, it can give whatever you want for a big price.

"By the 5th midnight, you shall pass through the road from Pinefort, and there, your fate relies. And if you do not comply, you shall be erased from existence, ever." then the flame dies.

Coming from the shiny rock, it cracked open and a man came out from it. The queen smiles as she saw her father came back to life again. He still looks like at the time as she remembers him before leaving for the war. Dressed in his White Cloak that is covered by pure gold in its lining, he also wield the Staff of the Gods that is empowered by all Gods and Goddesses.

"Da!" The queen greeted her lost father and held him tight.
