"STOP! PLEASE" I sobbed, my figure crumpled into a small ball on the ground. My body stung and I shook violently as my sobs racked my body.

"I'm not done with you yet bitch" he snarled as he reached out and grabbed a fistful of my blonde hair. He yanked my head back forcefully causing my back to arch. A whimper escaped me.

"P-Please" I stuttered as he started dragging me across the floor towards his room by my hair.

He didn't reply. Instead he started laughing maniacally, his dark eyes glinting dangerously in the light.

"I wanna make you scream" he whispered and everything around me faded into nothing.

"FUCK!" I shouted, jerking up. My body was covered with a light sheen of sweat, causing my tank top to stick to my body. My whole body shook after reliving the nightmare I had been facing for the past month.

I pressed a cool hand to my forehead and shut my eyes.

It's not real Zoey. It's not real.

I opened my eyes and looked around my tiny room. My bedsheets were crumpled, and my pillows were lying on the ground. I brought my knees to my chest and wrapped my arms around them tightly, slightly rocking myself back and forth.

After a few minutes I got up and made my way slowly to the bathroom to freshen up. What's the point in trying to sleep now?

I glanced at myself in the mirror as I entered the bathroom and internally cringed. My hair was all over the place and my eyes were swollen and puffy. Sleepless nights tend to that I suppose.

I brushed my teeth and mentally made a list of the things I had to do today. Looking at the time, I realized that it was still pretty early so I decided to go to the park for a morning walk. That may help take my mind off the nightmare.

I quickly pulled on a pair of shorts and changed my tank. I tied my now ebony hair into a high pony and pulled on my shoes and headed out. I decided to leave my phone behind as no one would call at this time.

The weather was pretty cold, so I wrapped my arms together, shielding my body from the breeze. After a few minutes the park came into view so I picked up my pace.

I had always loved coming to the park. It was one of the things that made me choose the location of my house.

As I walked around, a noise suddenly caught me off guard. I listened closely and realized that it sounded like people arguing. I walked cautiously towards the source of the sound and spotted three men. I hid behind a tree and peeped around it to get a better view.

Two men were dressed completely in black and the third man was wearing a navy blue suit. One the men in black held the guy in the suit from behind while his companion repeatedly punched him.

I watched in horror as the guy in black pulled out a sleek gun and shot the guy in the suit. His body went limp and he crumpled to the ground. I clapped a hand over my mouth to prevent any sound from escaping and I slowly started backing away from the scene.

The guy with the gun put it back into the holder as he turned towards the other guy and said something. He nodded and bent down and grabbed the body.

Tears blurred my vision as I hastily tried to get away from them. In my hurry, I stepped over a dry twig.

You fucking klutz.

I glanced up to see the two men staring right at me. My mouth twitched uncomfortably as we started at each other silence. Then one of them snapped out of his daze and started running towards me.

I let out a small shriek and turned around to run. My feet pounded against the ground and my heart thudded against my chest. My breaths came out unevenly, but the adrenaline pushed me on.

I could hear them getting closer but my feet wouldn't move any faster. My legs burned but I willed them to move faster.

But I knew better than trying to outrun two goons, one of who had a gun. So I abruptly stopped and turned around with my hands raised above my head in surrender.

Let's reason this out shall we?

My move caught both of them off guard but they stopped and eyed me.

"Ok listen. I came here for a peaceful walk but I instead stumbled upon a bloody murder at 5 in the morning! So here's the deal. I won't go and rat you dudes out to the police and you don't kill me. Okay?" I rushed out in one breath.

They stared at me as though I had grown two sparkly heads. Then without a word they started marching towards me and grabbed an arm each and dragged me along with them.

"H-Hey let me go! I demand you to let me go this instant you ruffians!" I protested weakly, while struggling against their iron grip.

"No can do girl" replied the guy on my right. He had dark locks which fell till his shoulders. Some of them were braided.

"We are going to take you to the boss" said the dude on my left, who had blonde hair which was tied in a high bun.

I rolled my eyes and sighed. Hopefully this boss of theirs would be easier to reason with.

"Soo what was with the gun and all?" I asked, my voice shaking a little.

Both of them just grunted in response. I figured that if they had wanted to hurt me, they would have done so already. So I allowed myself to relax a little, hoping that I would stay alive after meeting this boss.

Way to start my day.
